Any of them on the deep front line or leg yin meridians. Think LV 3 LV 5, LV 7, LV 9, SP 6, SP 7, SP 8, SP 9. Palpate along the medial edge of the tibia and find the three most sensitive spots. If the patient also has headaches or symptoms affecting the face or head use LV 3 with the two most sensitive points from SP 6 - SP 9.
Local points will often work, but check the DFL on the same side as it may produce better results. Look to see if there is internal or external rotation in the feet, knees, and legs that may be contributing to it. Needling on either the DFL or LL and into the area of chronic contraction can produce great results. That is a key question, is there chronic contraction on either the LL or DFL?

Do you understand the meridian sinews in TCM. You do not need talking here if you do.
Yes, and modern scientific findings can contribute to the conversation.
What would you suggest for working with IT band tightness and pain?
And for TMJ with side of the neck tight.

For TMJ, ST 7 can do wonders. Needle bilaterally.
@healingspears007 Thank you. This will help.
There is contraction in the LL due to a past injury in an ankle ligament.
