Thank you so much Gary, I spent the last 4 hours permanently deleting my contacts one-by-one and to only realize that I can mass delete out of MailChimp Audience of 19 000 people is 911 rescue for me, thanks you very much.
Hey! If I archive the contact does it remove them from my remaining drip campaign? I'm just trying to make sure they don't receive my next drip. They have responded and I want to take it from here. Thanks for any help!

Hi Gary, I'm new at MailChimping! I permanently deleted my entire audience. I first did a backup via MailChimp and received a zip file. HI! How can I find and merge double contacts (same contact in several audiences) - so that I don't spam them by sending the same mail several times (with each audience)? Thank you!
Hi Gary. I have a question regarding the Mailchimp sending limit? From what I can tell, for a free account, the limit is 2000 contacts. I only have 642 contacts across 1 audience with around 26 tags. However, when I go to send a mail out, I am now receiving a message that reads "this exceeds the sending limit for your account." If I change the tag to one with less recipients, the message goes away. Can you help me as to why this is happening? Thanks.
Yes, the free account limit is 2000 contact (this includes subscribed, unsubscribes and non-subscribed contacts). There is also a limit of 10000 email sends per month. If you are within these limits you should be fine to send.
Thanks Gary for your video. Quick question we actually imported around 100 contacts from our database but the first names appear wrong, how can I edit this information? Mainly more concerned about editing their first name for the emails. Is there a way to do this on Mailchimp or will I have to permanently delete and reupload the email list of 100 contacts with their correct names? Thanks
@@GaryEckstein Thank you for your help. Does this mean that when we reimport the contacts to Mailchimp even existing contacts will have there information updated (without errors or duplicates)?
Hi Gary - great channel! I cannot find how to export all Archived contacts and for that export to include the filed showing Email Marketing status (ie subscribed or unsubscribed). Mailchimp's Help database says of exporting entire audiences that the reports can only include subscribed, non-subscribed, unsubscribed, and cleaned contacts. So, not Archived. Everytime I export contacts, the field "Email Marketing" (denoting their subscribed/unsubscribed/archived/etc status) is missing from the CSV file. I've tried multiple ways of exporting contacts and in none of them has this field been included. All the exports are useless to me if I cannot sort by this field. I cannot see how to export (so I can work with) Archived contacts and for that export to include their Email Marketing status. Is this not possible?? Thanks!
Hi Rob. 100% correct. I hadn't noticed this issue before and totally see why the status is important in an Archive export. I've provided feedback to Mailchimp but really don't know how they'll prioritise this issue.
@@GaryEckstein Thanks. I don't understand why they'd exclude this data for Archived contacts. Still, I hope your reporting it to MC gets it resolved in the future. In the meantime, I'll have to come up with a manual workaround.
Do you have the Admin role for your account in Mailchimp (this may be the reason that you aren't seeing the data management tool). What error message is Mailchimp giving you when you try to delete contacts?
Howdy - There doesn't seem to be a way to bulk delete archived contacts. When in the "View Archived Contacts" page, while I can select all of the archived contacts, they can not be bulk removed. Is there another way to do this?
Yes, it's not ideal :( The only way I know is to delete from the Audience itself. I know it's not what you're asking however keep in mind that you're not billed for archived contacts in Mailchimp.
Hi Gary, If I delete my mail chimp account and recreate a new one with the same email address, is that possible? I can’t seem to find an answer to that question, other than knowing that it’ll permanently delete all my contacts. Actually, I’d like to start with a clean slate.
I recently surpassed 2000 contacts and as a result I can't send any emails without paying a monthly fee which doesn't make sense for my small business. If I completely delete some contact to reduce my total number of contract to under 2000 can I once again qualify for the free service?

@@GaryEckstein Hello Gary, I want to delete my cleaned list and I can only see the archive. There is no delete? Why would I keep the cleaned list? thanks
