- আমাজন নদী দক্ষিণ আমেরিকায় অবস্থিত এবং এটি পৃথিবীর দ্বিতীয় দীর্ঘতম নদী। এটি গড়ে প্রায় ২,০৯,০০০ ঘনমিটার প্রতি সেকেন্ড (৭৪,০০,০০০ ঘনফুট/সে) বহন করে সাগররে দিকে নিয়ে যায়, যা এর পরবর্তী সাতটি সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্ন নদীর জলের সমান।
