Hello Dirk, one explanation for your first mistake with 41. Might be because playing 21/16 6/5 gives white decent option if he rolls 5-1 5-3 or 5-4, cheers.
You want to duplicate the entry rolls off the bar. So you move the checker up; so if the opponent rolls a 1 or 4, he must use that 1 or 4 to get off bar if the other die is a 5 or 6.
this videos are like gold, invaluable, to hear such an extraordinary player sharing his knowledge

Such an even-handed and deceptively simple approach to making decisions. As always, very well presented. Thank you, Kirk.
Superb insights from probably the top player in the World at the moment. I am telling as many people I can to subscribe to this channel. TY Dirk
Thank you Kevin!
Nice learning match for me. Thanks.
Thanks Dirk. Great explanation about making the 21 pt. instead of the 5 pt. with the 3-1.
fun match, thanks for the upload! shocked that your 42 was such a big error, I had no idea which was better but I would have thought they're close

you mean white can hit if he rolls a 5? But with xg's move white can't hit on a 5 but can hit on a 4, so I don't think it's that.
