  • If you want to learn exactly how Glen Powell built his incredible physique for Top Gun: Maverick, one man has all the answers.
    When Glen needed to transform his body in just seven weeks for Tom Cruise's blockbuster Top Gun sequel, he came to see Nick Mitchell.
    Nick is widely regarded as the world's leading personal trainer. He is the CEO and founder of Ultimate Performance - a global personal training business with a track record of 25,000+ jaw-dropping body transformations with everyday clients.
    If anyone could get Glen in big-screen shape for the role of a lifetime in a matter of weeks, it was Nick and his Ultimate Performance team.
    The mission was simple. Glen needed to get lean, look muscular and carve out show-stopping abs for a shirtless American football montage that pays homage to the iconic Volleyball scene in the 1986 original.
    This edge-of-the-seat thriller is a blockbuster like no other that more than matches the exhilarating 1986 original - it needs to be watched on the big screen.
    Glen didn't have months to get in shape. He didn't have the luxury of training seven days a week. And he didn't have a legion of chefs prepping every meal.
    Nick created a smart and targeted training program using the same principles we use with thousands of our time-pressed executive clients.
    Here Nick shares the 'secrets' to Glen's training and diet that absolutely anyone can use to get in shape.
    Achieving results like Glen Powell is possible when you have expert support in your corner.

    Most honest and accurate breakdown of an actor’s training and nutrition that I’ve ever seen. So refreshing. Would love to see more transparency like this in Hollywood. A lot of people watch these movies and aspire to achieve similar body composition’s to the actor’s portrayed on screen. Interviews like this do a lot of good in setting realistic expectations and putting an end to the mass of misinformation and smoke and mirrors of the fitness industry.

  • @mikeb8468
    @mikeb8468 Год назад +97

    4:26 I loved that he actually talked about this. That shot of him flexing was to specifically show off his physique, so they worked out the chest and traps and he learned how to flex them in such a way to really show the muscles and vascularity. It's not talked about enough but almost any movie that requires an actor to get in shape will have some big scene where the character shows off there body. And of course a tan, good lighting and 6k cameras help the overall look as well.

    It's admirable to hear him talk about perfecting what is, a relatively, small portion of the movie. Small, yet memorable. You remember the beach scene and you remember Glen looking athletic and cool as fuck. There's something to be said about mastering your craft to such a degree that you give everything for what could be considered a brief moment.
    I think that's really the best part about this movie. You really get the sense that every detail of the movie was finely combed through and perfected. The editing, the camera work, the acting, the superb aerial shots. It's just a well made movie.

    so why did all the pilots have to look ripped? since when does pilots look like that? it's solely bcuz of that one volleyball scene and God bless my eyes for it, I ain't complaining it makes my depression a bit better lol but let's be real tho.
    and yea they do get benefits to build their bodies, PT's, meal preps by pro's, dietitian etc the studio is literally paying them to look a certain way! so stop the bullshit..
