For anyone listening to this for hw Violin 0:25 They are the smallest and highest pitch of the strings family. They also have a chin rest. Viola 0:45 They are pretty much a larger and slightly deeper pitch of the violin. Also has a chin rest. Cello 1:15 They are a larger version of the violin and is deeper and instead of a chin rest, they have a stand and shoulder rest. Double Bass 1:45 They are the largest and deepest pitch of the Strings family. The difference of the cello and the double bass is that the double bass's shoulder rest is slanted just ever so slightly and it also has a stand just like the cello. Harp 2:11. Well there's nothing much I have to say besides people thinks it's a percussion instrument. I hope everyone found this useful. The notes are from music class and teacher.
RIGHT IM BOUT TO HELP SOME PEOPLE HERE : violins are the highest : the violas are like a violin only a bit lower : and the Chellos are held with your knees
We used to watch this when my class was learning about the Orchestra and each time he said “My name is Grant.” one of the classmates was clapping. Gradually, more people joined in until eventually, the entire class was applauding at Grant.
The tightness in that violin unison run at 0:28 is top notch. It's tough enough to get two players to play that tightly together, let alone the dozen or so they have here.
I love how this goes because it perfectly reflects people's views of the instruments. Violins get fun, difficult, interesting-sounding music, and everyone else gets something slow and not too difficult (The Swan really isn't that difficult, I've done it).
i listend to the four orcestra families and we had a "Pop quiz" and the question was (it was only one question) "what is the conducters name. the entire class said "Grant" Immedietly-
People who play the violin is called a violinist, people who plays the viola is called the violist, people who play the cello is called the cellist and people who play the double bass is called the bassist.
Um, thanks. It was a general reply to previous comments. People wanted to know which piece the *violas* were playing, (I thought maybe they were asking about the violins, still not sure, really) and somebody said that the piano was a string instrument.

Why would anyone watch this unless their teacher told them to?
I'm watching this without anyone telling me and I can't understand what home work all are taking about :)
Maybe because they actually like classical music and want to learn more about instruments. Also the song is amazing by the way.
2:11 I love the Harp!!!
Wait, piano had strings inside to! That's not fair, you forgot about it. :P
Ye
i only did this for the cello music
The cellos play "The Swan" from Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens. What piece are the violins playing? PS The piano is a percussion instrument.
What piano did you see/hear? lol. They didn't introduce one in this segment.........
Um, thanks. It was a general reply to previous comments. People wanted to know which piece the *violas* were playing, (I thought maybe they were asking about the violins, still not sure, really) and somebody said that the piano was a string instrument.
Silly me hehe
U aint got no Tacos czardas is the song by monti
P.s. The piano is not a percussion instrument its both string and percussion
