The only boss I can't beat is big priest. That guy has just insane value and with the hero power you sometimes can't comeback, though the golden candle treasure wins the game against him.
Fun fact: if you give a minion +2+2 and then add extra copies of it to your deck during the bartender screens. None of the copies will have the stat boost and it may possibly remove the stat boost all together.
Mason Knabe are you positive about that? Because that's exactly what I did and after drawing two of three of them on two occasions. None had the buffs.
You've mentioned how hard the bosses in the heroic version are, but for both chapters I beat them on my first attempt. I played hunter for both, I think my best run was in chapter 2 where I got that treasure that allows you to draw 2 extra cards a turn and you don't suffer fatigue damage. It was an awesome experience though.
I had a super "interesting" run today. Shaman in chapter 1 heroic, got spellpower +3 and 2 health points healed at end of turn. So obviously I tryied to build an AoE Spell/Control deck with a heavy topend. My first treasure was the "add 5 random treasures to your deck" (mostly because the other choises sucked and I planned on playling slow anyway) and in the 6th match I randomed the 4 mana treasure that replaces all your minons with one specific, friendly minion on the board. My thoughts, shure, this is going well, the board is stable, lets transform all my early game into Silvanas'es for now. What I didn't know, the effect is permanent. *Sooooo* now I had a deck with 30 cards, and 14 of them where Silvanas, the rest boardclears and healing. Tell you what, easyest victory of my life. At least once the board was stable. Only nearly died to the sky pirate dude (never seen him befor, Pirates and deathrattle synergie deck, hero power deals 4 to all Minions but needs 2 turns to recharge)
Well I had a similar "interesting" run, just like you, my friend. The only difference was, since at the game i was playing I happened to have one Ysera on board, and i already hit 10 mana. So I chose Ysera. "hmmmm Ysera every turn seems to be a good idea." Well it was a good idea (I guess), at least for the first game. I even didn't realize it was permanent until in the next game, Queen Wagtoggle pulls one of my 20+ Yseras right out of my deck and shove it in my ass. Fun game.

Imagine a run with the Shaman deck where you have Robes and Princes Ring and during one of the games you have Rexxars hero power and discover jeweled scarab which discovers Eldris somethingbane and during your first bartender visit you decided to reduce the cost of witch's brew for science and are pleased to find that the replays of witch's brew also cost 0. Now imagine during that same run you kill the final boss with Paladins DK hero power. This adventure is awesome.
There's a boss with heropower "Summon two 2/2 treants with taunt" for 2 mana, she is a token druid with tons of aoe buffs and summons AND she starts with mana advantage. The most frustrating thing is, if you left some treants on the board, she will immediatly upgrade them to 5/5 with Treespeaker and destroy you next turn. To me, THIS is the hardest boss.

On turn 3 she casts deathrattle thing "summon treant on death" on 4 or 6 targets, you clear the first wave of treants and then she upgrades new ones to 5/5 on, like, turn 4 or 5 due to mana advantage. At the moments like this, you just want to punch those ppl who designed this piece of garbage.
@@HighLanderPonyYT out of all bosses in the game, Maloriak was actually the hardest one, I think most people will agree with that, but for me the hardest one was Sapphiron with his "clear board every turn and suddenly deal 24 damage to your face". But now you can easily defeat both of them with all new cards. I'm talking about this PvE adventure. The token druid boss was the hardest, again, just for me.
Rolled the treasure that shuffles two copies of any minion you summon into your deck against this boss. Didn't care too much that he erased one minion a turn when I rolled out an endless army of Mistcallers!
Little tip for everyone - If the game ends in a draw, it might say defeat but you can actaully continue and engage the next boss. Source: I had a game where i was either going to loose, or end it in a draw with some minion that does 3 dmg to both hero's (don't remember the name) and was able to continue.
the dalaran heist is good, you get to complete the thing in normal mode, and than you get to play the actually "interesting" heroic mode, and repeatedly loosing does not feel like stepping in place until you get lucky, because you are unlocking things while playing so you can try a bunch of things before you start seriously grinding for win (at least thats what i expect, i havent unlocked everything yet, i am not playing only hearthstone when i get the chance to sit at my pc)
I think I might have actually broken my run. Did it in one try with shaman and the default hero power and deck, and a couple of the bosses did almost nothing the whole game. Ichoron did literally nothing but use its hero power on an empty board until turn 7.
AI is a very difficult thing to make. Considering how many bosses there are and how each have to be programmed to play a certain way it makes this a massive undertaking. Their AI is much better than the AI from paid adventures a few years ago so it’s not a huge problem in my book. (Side note: AI misplays also make for some great highlights so it’s not all bad.
@@caster269 ai is actually very easy to make and tons of people have done it. Self learning ai is super easy to make to the point were people in grad school are making fantastic ai by themselves for thesis papers. Would take like 1 month of training to be at pro level+, it isnt that blizzard can't, its that they don't want to.
I beat it today using a minion Mage deck mostly due to the Rush passive. In fact, I've beaten all the heroic chapters so far using Mage and nothing else.
I don't know about "challenging" though... I always struggled with heroic modes in hearthstone, but this expansion felt so easy, I had to check couple times if I was in heroic or not..
my final boss on heroic had something like 2 dmg when she casts a spell, so the 4 mana 7/7 that makes everything legendary mionions destroyed her whole gameplan

I think it is because Dalaran Aspirant was banished to the void and wasn't killed. I'm not sure if he actually has spell damage or if it is just a visual bug.

Grimmer Patron is fucking insane. Especially if you can buff it, have it in your starting hand and all that. Super Simian Sphere is also insanely good.
Meanwhile i did this with normal shaman hero power because "everything has rush" is insane if you have 4 Malygos and Lich king with the scepter to make them 5 cost. Who knew? Kappa :))))
I am trying to pass heroic chapter 2 of this nowadays for that beautiful card back in a few months. Always getting destroyed by Lavanthor (0 Mana risky skipper) and Aki (hand buffer) . Make decks to defeat them and the Lil eviscerate girl obliterates me . Feeling very angry.
anomolies work in your favor like battlecries going off twice...its bad for moragg but good for you cuz you can build your deck around these anomolies...they help in heroic
Zuramat's hero power is beyond busted. I know every character's hero power is stupid and that's the whole point But the fact that his "Heroic mode" literally just removes your two free board clears and NOTHING ELSE kinda tells you how fucking terrible it is. He's unrealistically difficult even compared to the other final bosses. If I see him I normally concede and restart my run because fuck wasting my time trying to keep up with him.
i hate how kripp looks at the barista comment and doesn't even try to think about what it could mean and how he could be wrong. He missed such a obvious barista muscle combo and it hurt to watch.
I just saw he picked dice... i did once and it made me lose thr game, cuz a 4 mana cost card turned into a 8 mana cost card. And could not combo it. Il never pick dice ever again
Bullshit. I'm playing now Chapter 2 Heroic with Anomalies just to keep things interesting. And I maybe lost 2-3. At most. I unlocked all decks and hero powers now. If you don't go funky stuff yourself, this is much easier, than Dungeon Run.
That seems like some bad design. Almost snoringly boring all the way to the end and then a big spike just to prevent you from winning. Blegh, not a fan.
I don't even think the final boss is the hardest. Some of the bosses that come around 5th are harder since you only have 1 passive buff. The triple overload spells and haro setting sun (big priest + constant -2 attack for enemy minions) require pretty specific win conditions, and they get out of control very fast.

I don't like the padding like locking the hero powers and decks on both normal and heroic but some of the fights are fun. Mixed bag imo.

It's usually one of the mid-late bosses that stomps me. Especially the guy that summons two animal companions with his hero power.

Considering this costs 20 Dollar, Blizzard could have at least improved the AI a little.

Hand of Rafaam is suprirsingly good, since you waste the opponent's first few turns with them playing the Cursed!
Took out chapter 2 heroic w/ double battlecry anomaly as hunter, simian sphere is op when you can give it taunt and poisonous adaptations

Haro-setting sun is also really hard. I've lost to him twice and it wasn't even close.
That final boss's trades were beyond awful.

In this I got a 0 mana kelthuzad that always was in my opening hand, on top of a super OP deck. No boss came even semi close
