I've known for a long time that gold and volcanic activity go hand in hand . Back when I lived in southern California I was a member of the Riverside Astronomers Society and we had 10 acres in Landers California that had 2 houses plus several private observatories and public pads with power for use during star parties . We also had a hill nearby called Goat Mountain . Star parties are a multi-day event and during one of those parties I got up in the early morning and hiked to the top of Goat Mountain , when I got to the top I discovered many things but the most interesting was a mine shaft going right down the center of the caldera of this extinct volcano and yes it turns out it was a gold mine . I didn't have any climbing equipment with me plus I was alone so I didn't go in but it must have been a decent size judging by the tailing piles .

I want someone to buy my story on my three rescues in Hollywood or Legends of the Superstitions. I can take you to the Jesuit Treasure and all cacti that lead you there or Stories of the Superstition Mountains to come with me on a week-long filming so I can show you the LDM ON Bluff Springs Mountain just south of Weaver's Needle in the huge funnel shaft that the Dutchman, (Jacob Waltz) was a place he killed 8 people to keep a secret. 2 soldiers, his Sister's son (nephew),

I understand that the Dutchman would have found it hard to give these clues, with his last breaths on earth
but you got to think, why would Julia Thomas give up everything to go look for the gold, if there wasn't something told in those last days?

Julia Knew he had gold as he paid off some of her debts.
Julia was not at his bedside when he died, she was looking for a doctor. Dick Holmes and Gideon Roberts were at his bedside. Julia, no doubt, knew of some of the clues prior to his death but if she knew about the board house clue why did she enter the mountains from the west side instead of from the board house on the east side? The confusion is that everybody thinks she was privy to his death bed confession and she was not.

I came up to a weird idea. Could've Jacob Walsh just have hit a small amount of a gold vein and had mined it out? That could be why no one has been able to find it. Just wondering because Your stories get me thinking "stuff ". Thank You for another awesome story.

I am often asked do I think it is possible that there is actually some sort of ancient hidden gold mine out there somewhere?. If I was to go on what family members have said, when I did get around to asking, The Answer was both Yes and No. And I think that most people are and always have been divided in on giving such an answer. If I answered there may be some question as to my qualifications in doing so. It takes a lot of study and research and the knowledge of a vast variety of things, which just seems to be a continuing process and experiences that I would not trade for the world. The saying is and always is, Gold is Where You Find It.
It's not the finding it, which is very nice, but the looking, knowing it could be the end of you just trying to do it. Have people found things out there? Yes, mostly other people's skeletons.

The Dutchman Mine may ultimately be added to the *"Questions that stump generations":*
    1. Where was Atlantis?
    2. What happened to the "Ark of the Covenant"?
    3. Was Yeshua/Jesus married to Mary Magdalene?
    4. Where did the Knights Templar escape to, Where is/are their treasures, and What was the secret they discovered that caused the actions of their demise?
    5. Who built the Megalithic Structures around the globe, including the Great Pyramid?
...and the current Questions that qualify:
    1. Where is the Lost Dutchman Mine? (a number of other mines and artifacts that qualify in the SW USA, ie: the Cave Complex of Mummies and Artifacts found by Kinkade in the Grand Canyon, and areas of Western Mexico
    and Central America.)
    2. *How do Mainstream Academics, particularly Archaeologists, get away with using a "19th Century Theory based fact foundation, for their Paradigm and Linear Timeline", as if it were fact, and thus blocking all new Theories and Findings that follow the actual "Standards of Science and Research"?*
... and their consorts of the Smithsonian Institute, whom have admitted to (losing, some say intentionally destroying) countless artifacts that don't support the "Mainstream Academic Paradigm", ie: aka *"The Smithsonian Blackhole"*
... my, don't get me started on the obvious organized efforts of the Directors of the Mainstream Academic Paradigm.
It is being "deconstructed" through ignoring and forging on using the "Standards of Science and Research" in exploration and new discoveries, ie: *Freedom of Discovery!*
    ... carry on

    and Historian

Originally I guess one of the things that's interesting are the two guys sitting there separating myth and fact. Most people would prefer to believe the myth part. Is there gold out there? To answer do I not have to have some qualifications. Do you want professional opinion or Treasure Hunter opinion?.The two guys do not mince words when they express the various dangers of going into the Desert Wilderness and making it out alive.

If you think about everything being wrong maps ect. Because the curse if dead man's mountain is not spiritual Or the boogyman. The curse is people who have nothing and have no ambition's to become anyone. They don't want to work they wish to steal someone's life. The curse is people and they won't tell you where they get the gold . Because they will get killed by the worthless. There's your CURSE. PEOPLE !!!
