In my household, we marinate the meat in spices and also include green (raw) papaya especially the skins blended into a paste which helps with tenderizing the meat..and then cook the marinated meat.
Jo tareeqa inhone bataya hai woh bilkul bhi sahi nahi hai ,pasinde ko papaya aur masale se marinate kiya jata hai ,khashkash pees kar masalon ke saath phir pakaya jata hai

@Sadin15 I've never tried papaya to tenderise, I should try. I don't even.use my pressure cooker. I like to cook slow and let the meat cook in juices
