Used to do Ironwork in the late 70's. No harness no safety cables . You just walked the Iron. As a young man I used to walk on railroad tracks 200ft up. They were welded to some beams to pull duct work in for the boilermakers . Of course we were always stoned. On power plant construction there was no metal deck below just wide open spaces of nothing between you and the ground. Shaking out grating was the scariest. The guys would race to see who laid out the most. Just like the connectors raced to be the first one to the choker to un hook the ball !

Working for Herrick in the Golden Day's, we had to have had bolts laid out or in hand before the piece got there.

Man I would love to be a connected with this ground crew on a building like that we used to drop a couple of bundles of fillers right on the deck below I know there are a lot of variables but yeah that's what we did like every chance we got anyway and you know they're going to stick to bolts loose and sit there until next two pieces come up back in my day if a pick was taking the ground crew that long you bet your ass you were stuffing bolts and the right size bolts and you were getting an tight iron all-around until the next piece came there is a huge difference between a structural steel connector and a guy that knows how to put a round peg in a round hole and sit there I don't care any connector and I've only done it for like 25 years and I learnt after my first two you do not leave your Spud on the top of a beam it's either in your Beckett in your hand or in a hole with some type of pressure on it

15 minutes and 31 seconds timestamp he's got the words to the Chuck Berry Song but he's out on the beam trying to cut it loose and he doesn't know his partner doesn't have any bolts in his end!! Sad but true it may seem like a minor thing but in my humble opinion total incompetence connector is at the choker and has no clue there are no bolts in the other end???

I don't know it's 4 minutes timestamp plus or minus Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is he doing with that Spud LMFAO this is so cute so funny if I was his connecting partner or that grown man that tried gave a vague attempt to hand him the tagline I'd be freaking screaming at him go ahead drop it I ain't giving it back to you I'm surprised he doesn't have his other Spud in the same hand a connecting bar in his right hand while balancing his beater and bullpen on the top of the beam while giving tag signs through the guy with the headset 20 feet below him LMFAO disguise got rookie written all over them stay calm stay safe my brothers and keep your Spud in your bracket until you need it

6 minutes and 44 seconds * 10 what's the hook go!!! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot the guy that let the hook go owes his connecting partner a six pack after work

Man these guys he sucks he lets go with a hook and the piece he's at Centerpoint he has all the balance he should have cable down put his hands on the bottom of next beam and either said his partner the correct then or spun it right there or kept his correct end he just lets everything go over a choker the deck is 16 feet below you what the hell are you going to worry about a half inch stroker for LMFAO I watched like 10 of his videos I finally realized why he always wears those knee pads LOL he likes Landing columns LMFAO

Timestamp 9 minutes this guy is putting like 2 and 1/2 possibly 2 and 3/4 bolts in a connection that takes 1in 1/4 bolts and he says yeah this one is loose yes because the bolts you are using to connect shank out 1/2 inch before tight iron 9 minutes and 6 seconds timestamp I want to see you hand torque The bolt that you just put it in that connection!!! If you were my connecting partner yeah you would be on the ground using your knee pads tightening anchor bolts and that's about it LMFAO stay safe my brother

In my humble opinion at 5 minutes and 44 second time stamp well I guess that's not a double connection because you put the nuts facing the Factory Connection any ironworker connector you need to avoid doing what you just did whenever possible TC Bolt you have to be able to get the TC gun on the nut never mind you probably wouldn't understand if I even went into more depth and explained it to you LMFAO kind of like walking and chewing gum at the same time or being ambidextrous
