Humans tend to make illegal things that are immoral.
And if there is a thing that is still legal while being immoral the new law apears... eventually.
After a long series of warcrimes and other atrocities.
And that is why that treaty is 300 000 pages.
Only those capable of making an argument on the basis of morality are deserving of consideration. If a species isnt sentient then they dont deserve any consideration.

AI art is cool and all...but I need the AI to explain to me the upper torso of a man is on the top and center of a table. Is he just a talking torso? If there supposed to be a hole in the center to the most important person is fully surrounded by table? How does he get in, from the top, or does he crawl underneath like a child and do a peek-a-boo?

Poleace, they made a special table for him as he's in a wheelchair at the moment, didn't you know? They wheeled him in and it's just an optical illusion you're seeing, like the dudes to his left are just versions of him less facial hair, but exactly the same hair style, same as the first guy has a see through wrist the second guy looks like both hands are on his left arm and his right arm looks as though it has a nicely manicured womans hand coming out of it, goodness knows what missy is doing with her extended wrists to the left and centre guy looks like terrdactyl hands are common in the future.

Could use a 40 meter sized meter or asteroid as a bomb and it will look totally natural. Meteors can hit anywhere. Size determined by thickness of atmosphere and the size of the underground colony. All done and the violation of the 'spirit of the treaty' is cleared up.

It won't look natural, though. Just because we haven't got all objects that size in our solar system tracked doesn't mean interstellar civilisations won't.
true, but the race on the planet under discussion appears to be either primitive or has no idea there are others in the galaxy, hence the no contact law. The use of the meteor bomb is to use a method of wiping out the colony without alerting the planet bound beings. It doesn't matter if anyone not on the planet knows what happened. the method is to keep the planetary race ignorant of other beings out there. Of course the humans will smell a rat, and go to war with the galaxy over it, but laws need to be enforced. @@f0rth3l0v30fchr15t

author is probably american. As far as i can tell, europe countries' laws abides by the "letter of the law", BUT it is the "spirit or intent of the law" which is more important. That is why google and apple and etc can't do anything they wish like they can in usa.
