- Mark Grayson Starts Over From Episode 1 | Invincible REBOOT Explained #invincible #shorts #comics In Invincible’s Reboot we saw Mark go back in time to the very beginning of the series as he walks into the kitchen and sees his mom watching his dad save the world on the TV, and realizes that he doesn’t even have his powers yet.. But he wants to make a difference. From this point on Mark goes to school and immediately goes to Eve trying to explain to her that they work together in the future and needs her help along with the rest of the guardians, causing Eve to bring this guy to her friends because they should atleast question him on how he knows everything he does. When Mark arrives to the Guardians hideout Eve has him tied up as he tries to explain again to everyone that he’s from the future but instantly makes Rex suspicious by telling him about his life. Robot walks into the room and Mark tells him that he knows he was born deformed and is actually controlling the Robot from a lab far away, which convinces Robot that this is actually a man from the future since no one on earth would know that but Robot himself. At this point MARK starts to worry that this isn’t real at all, so he asks Robot to tell HIM something that can convince him none of this is fake, and what Robot says haunts Mark for the rest of the series.

Yeah it’s sad that robot was genuinely good at one point but ended up evil in the end
Conceited, selfish and envious. Not so much Evil. He was instrumental in one of the largest world ending plots by a villian only to have Mark be credited with most to all of it.
Mark would have failed without Rudy, while Rudy could have succeeded without Mark.
For that he began secretly developing new Drones and a plan to remove Mark from the limelight.

@@JaviDualthats the thing though, while morally wrong about the whole thing, robot still in the end was right. He was able to do more good when he took control then invincible ever could of at the time. As selfish and evil the actions that robot took may seem he still proved his point to invincible. That under his control earth becomes a near like perfect utopia. It was his time ruling in the flaxan dimension that changed everything. Mark could have been a suitable ruler, maybe, but we see the effects of what his ruling does in the future. Eventually he’d have to leave earth to focus on the greater universe, usually leaving immortal incharge which in turn leads earth to becoming more chaotic in the future regardless as the immortal would loose his sense of direction in leadership. Robot knew under him something like this wouldn’t happen, which is why toward the end of the series mark decides to leave robots brain and his son marky on earth. Robot for one so that the immortal always has a sense of direction when leading and who can provide him the help he needs, and marky so that earth has its own invincible still even after hes gone. Every drastic measure robot took was for the betterment of the earth.

For those wondering, Invincible asks the team to say something he wouldn't know, so that he can confirm that info with the knowledge he has on the future. Robot answers that he does not relate to people and that he Is afraid that one day he'll do something that it's logically right but ethically horrible, foreshadowing several Invincible events, with Robot as a "villain"

What happened
Some cave thing sent mark back in time so he could “save more ppl/ make better choices”. But with the cost of not having his life as it was before. Mark tells this thing to fuck off after speaking to it again, cave thing gets mad at mark for being selfish and yeets him back to his current time where a LONG time has passed. I wish they dove more into what this creature is there’s not that much lore but can’t wait for how the show will explain this cave thing.

What bugged me about this arc is that it's just a completely random event with no proper explanation, but it has huge effects on the main plot. Not because anything actually changes due to the event just because Mark disappeared for something like 5 years.
And honestly that's what makes it beautiful, stuff happens in life by surprise too

I’m very excited to see how they portray this in the show. Especially now that the old Guardians Of The Globe have had more characterisation. Maybe just like comics we’ll get to see have much the art style/animation has improved since episode 1.
Old Guardians had same characterisation, mostly more scenes and with that they pretty much missed the joke of them being introduced and killed by Nolan with ez, because he doesn't care by own design.
