Awesome! I've just seen this video. I'm a permanent resident of Panama (I'm originally from New Zealand). I was stuck in an apartment in Panama City for 5 months during Covid lockdowns. Then I lived in Bocas del Toro for 9 months (I'm a surfer) now I'm a nomad. So happy to see you two discovered Panama, a very beautiful country, and they looked after me so well during Covid I'll be eternally grateful to them. Casco Viejo is stunning!

You Boys represent something, for a certain demographic, that in this moment is thankfully taken for granted,but,coming up on 60,just wasn't possible in far more places when I was your age.
You're excellent at what you do & I fully understand that you don't want to politicise your channel,it's about travel and your quest. But at the same time subliminally you're doing what we all had to do at one point.
Today's video was just superb,your discussion about being dad's - you are both going to be such good fathers & your children will be so lucky,because not only will you have got the wanderlust out of your system,you will have the chance to show the world to your new generation.
I was a single father,which had enormous advantages & disadvantages & my son ,now 38,had a blast - I learned from my parents/mother & tried to customise our travels so that he would remember & get something out of them. For instance I took him to the summit of Mt Kilamjaro when he was 8,so he could take his own photos,rather than my mother,who took me to the summit when I was 3 & TBH have a VERY blurry recollection.
But,what today's video did so beautifully & subtly was show a fantastic couple planning for their future,whilst living their best present.

@@TopFlightFamily we are a homeschooling family that travels a lot too. Not as much as you. I’m super impressed. But definitely also want to raise global citizens. Most of our travel is done through travel hacking and you give me so many ideas on where to take the kids next. Keep up the good job.

Well😂 it depends on how you count but Swedish, English, German, and Spanish I speak at least pretty well🙂 But my thing is learning the basics of a language and then kinda just moving on to the next lol

you guys need to go check casco viejo at night in the weekends, roof top bars are top top stuff to do, el valle is amazing, contaora island, bocas del toro, san blas, boquete is amazing as well, costa del este in the city is pretty cool to go out and dinner
There is a problem in Casco Viejo at night, tourists are stuck in Casco Viejo because they don't have car !
Casco Viejo is surrounded by Avenida B, Santa Ana and Chorrillo, these are the dangerous places at night !
By the way, it seems like you have family members in so close by Urraca Park and Cangrejo, if i'm not mistaken !

So I watched another Panama travel video yesterday and they said PC wasn’t a very walkable city because of the highways go thru the city.. also, they said it was relatively expensive for a Central and South American country! Your thoughts?
Hello, Panamanian over here. Our sidewalks aren’t great, but either way we don’t walk much due to the heat, so only the necessary. Uber, taxis and the metropolitan transport system (bus and metro) are very cheap. In Panama we use the US dollar and is a service economy, so things are more expensive in contrast with the region, you can still find cheap places to eat and do shopping, and free activities, just take the time to do the homework. Many Panamanians glorify the skyline of Panama City, which I'm completely agree, the skyline of Panama City is really really really impressive from far away, but when go into inside, there's another thing !

Bus in Panama city has no route map, no timetable, even for those who lives in Panama City, when they want to go somewhere for the first time, they should ask the bus driver, some drivers they know only the route which they drive and know nothing else !
The worst part is the bus comes when it wants to come ! Please be PATIENCE !
If a tourist doesn't understand well Spanish, he or she go nowhere !
Only metro is possible for tourist !
The price of taxi is depend on who you are !
Everyone goes to the same place but everyone doesn't pay the same price ! (Oh ! Yes !)

Second, like all cities in the world, Panama has its pro and its cons, good and bad places, so it depends on you, which side you would like to visit.
Third, go to other countries in the region and get on a city bus, or better yet, on a taxi cab, then come back and tell us about your experience.
Fourth, if a tourist doesn´t understand Spanish in Panama, he/she can easily survive with English, for there are many people who can speak it.

"Survive" in Casco Viejo, Paitilla, Punta Pacifica, Costa del Esta, these places are absolutely YES ! YES ! YES !
But yet the border of Casco Viejo is surround by Avenida B, Santa Anna, Chorrillo, at night il faut éviter se balader, there are crimes from time to time ! Even Ambassade de France advise people don't walk in Chorrillo at any time !
For Speaking English is only simple beginner English only, et encore pas vraiment sûre !
