I assume that the bolts need to be checked for tightness from time to time? How is this done with the long metal rail cover? Can lock washers or threadlocker be used?

out of curiosity, can the bearing blocks be removed and re-installed without losing balls from their housing? i want to build a manual surface grinder attachment for a belt grinder and was thinking this type of rail system would work.
