N64 version: Adds 200% of backward speed.
DS version: No effect, but doesn't double up the backward speed.
Shindou version: Prevents the backward speed from BLJing.

The underside of that gate seems to be very important to both versions
in SM64 you can build up speed
in SM64DS you can clip out of bounds
