I ❤ U.” He told me those things supernaturally throughout my life so I tell others the same. Jesus took your very own sins, mistakes, guilt, shame, condemnation, sickness, disease, death, hell, and the grave on Himself on the cross and rose again and defeated those things once for all time before you were even born. He did this for you individually because of His unfailing love for you. You are God’s child because of what Jesus did for you. Not because of how good you are. He took your sins and completely removed them from you and washed them away forever and gave you His own righteousness, an abundant life on earth, and eternal life in Heaven as a precious gift. This gift is unearned and undeserved by you. It is given through God’s love, mercy, and grace for you through His Son, Jesus Christ. It can only be received as an unearned gift in faith. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. God the Father loves you as much as He loves Jesus, who is God the Son. The Holy Spirit, who is also God, comes to live in you when you repent (turn from your sins to a higher way of thinking) and ask Jesus into your heart and life and to be your Lord and Savior. Call out to God out loud in prayer for forgiveness of your sins and for Jesus to come live on the inside of you and walk with you. He is listening and waiting for you with open arms. He won’t force Himself into your life and to believe and worship Him. You must be the one to accept Him and invite Him into your heart and life and allow Him to change you from the inside out. Jesus also gave us His peace to use in this life. Run to God even when you make mistakes or even if you backslid and went your own way. Go back to Him. Ask Him for help even with addictions and even if you are in the middle of it. Cry out to Him. Say out loud often, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Those addictions and evil spirits will lose their power and stronghold over you. God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness so lean on Him continually for help. He doesn’t want you to go at it alone. God is not mad at you. God is madly in love with you. Have a respectful, holy fear of God. He is not a tyrant but He is serious. Don’t abuse His grace. Don’t keep repeating the same sins. Cut off those things from your life with His help. He wants you to follow Him and obey Him as your Heavenly Father so you don’t bring trouble on yourself and walk in darkness. Jesus and the word of God is the lamp for your feet. He wants to give you a future and a hope. He has plans for good and not evil for you. Pray continuously each day, trust God, read and believe and apply His Word every day. Don’t give into temptation, fear, worry, doubt, guilt, shame, or anxiety. Don’t feed those things. Don’t beat yourself up. Let those negative thoughts just pass. Don’t take hold of them when they try to show up. Come against them with the word of God, prayer, and faith. You are a new creation in Christ. Feed and renew your mind with the word of God and use them as spiritual weapons and declarations throughout your life. Renew your mind. Walk in faith and trust Him. Don’t walk in fear, worry, guilt, shame, doubt, and unbelief. Pray for help with those things. Forgive yourself and forgive those who hurt you. God also chooses not to remember your sins. God can’t punish the same sin twice. It was finished on the cross like Jesus said Himself just before He died there. Focus on Jesus. Jesus is the one who paid your ultimate price. Be grateful and show Him love and receive His love for you. You can easily worship and show God love in a church and at home with arms raised and with songs of praise. Jesus was innocent and sinless and sacrificed Himself for your mistakes on the cross and gave you His gift of righteousness and eternal life in Heaven in exchange. Believe it and receive it. Walk and live in the spirit and you won’t fulfill the desires of the flesh. Crucify the flesh daily. Take up your cross with Jesus’s help and you will be on the right path and can face and go through any storm in this life. You are never alone. God will never leave you or abandon you no matter what. "Thrown in a sea of forgetfulness, what sin? What offense?" That part hits hard. I just finished my least favorite sin of all. Let's call it "self pleasuring" I HATE IT.. Like Paul says in Roman's, "I have the desire to do what's right, but not the ability to carry it out". LORD forgive me my trespasses, as I forgive those who trespass against me.
Been there and understand you completely! Let me share with you what helped me to overcome it. First, I looked to the Cross, to Jesus and His perfect sacrifice, and put my trust in Him that it's enough to make me righteous. Sometimes it's really hard to believe that because we see how flawed we are but in Hebrew 11:1 we see that faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen. Believing in the perfect Sacrifice, boldness comes (Hebrew 10:19) and with this boldness, you can get up and fight back! This is extremely important! Without you putting your trust in the Lord and choosing to see yourself as He sees you, you can't fight victoriously! The position in which we are put - heavenly places next to Him (Ephesians 2:5-6), shows the authority we have and that's why Satan is trying so desperately to stumble us so that he can then tell us how bad we are and prevent us from believing what God actually said about us. Honestly, this sometimes is hard, but it's a battle and we must fight back! Second, I saw that temptations that led to sin were because I opened a door - I looked where I shouldn't have looked, listened to what I shouldn't have listened to, stayed where I shouldn't have stayed, and be with whom I shouldn't have been with! You need to make the decision not to look at what tempts you! It won't be easy as your mind is wired to look at certain things. Pornography made me see and think differently about people. That's why now I fight to change this mindset. When I notice a pretty-looking girl, I choose not to look at her body parts and even if I accidentally look, I try not to look back because I understand that when I look, I give place to the devil to work in my mind and if I don't stop this, I would fall into the "self-pleasuring". When you look at something that turns you on, the body actually produces certain hormones and the demons love to exaggerate them, especially when you try to resist the temptation. Honestly, this goes for every other addiction. And yes, this has also become an addiction just because it makes us feel good. Well, at least for that moment, then you feel empty and you see that it wasn't worth it so you feel bad. So everything that you see that is turning you on, stop it and do the opposite, and don't give place to the devil to work in your mind. Third, when I didn't do ok with the "Second" and now all the emotions have come, what I did to prevent all of this, is I went to God - opened the Bible, started praying; just moving my focus away from the things that turned me on and placing it on Him so that my emotions could calm down so that I won't fall into that sin. Many times I didn't fight in this phase because satan was lying to me that since Jesus said that if you look at someone with lust then you have already committed adultery so it doesn't matter if I do it physically also. But actually, it's better not to do it. Of course, God can forgive you for both but if you don't commit the physical part, it would be easier for you to heal. So, the crucial thing is where our focus is and Jesus said in John 15:5 that apart from Him we cannot do anything, so no matter what, looking to Jesus is the answer and the getaway from sin. This doesn't just go for this sin, but also for any other one. Stop it as early as you can, ask for forgiveness, believe that God gives you forgiveness, believe in the perfect Sacrifice, and believe in what God says about you!

I am so grateful for Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, so that we have that option to start over. I used to live a terrible life, deep into porn and so depressed that I was about to commit suicide, but the Holy Spirit stepped in at just the right time and told one of my friends to call me and see how I was doing. He didn't have a clue that I was about to commit suicide, but God sees everything. He knew what needed to be done. Praise the Lord I am still here!!
