The rhythm… They changed the time signature from 4/4 to 12/8, which is a blusey shuffle rhythm. Genius!
The more I listen to this, the more I think of it as "Stevie Wonder sings Michael Jackson". Stevie Wonder is also Jonah's greatest inspiration.
Dirty Loops is one of my very, very favorite groups. They have a bunch of original songs that are extraordinary - check 'em out. With Cory Wong, there's Follow the Light: on their own, check Breakdown, Work Sh*t Out, Next to You. Everything they do is top notch, those are favorites of mine. Have fun!

This song always gives me goosebumps. Jonah’s voice is divine. He’s not just a great pianist and keyboard player, but an unbelievable vocalist. The bassist Henrik -one of the funkiest and grooviest on the planet 🔥
Aron on drums is also a too drummer.
That collaboration of Dirty Loops with funk/rhythm guitarist Cory Wong and his horns is just so good, and that arrangement, as you’ve said, is something else!
Another great tune from that collaboration is “Follow The Light” ✨ -it’s fire! (link below.)
Also fantastic, as someone else said, is Dirty Loops with “Next To You”, another mindblowing showcase of Jonah’s vocals. When listening to it, bear in mind that Jonah does ALL of the vocals in that song…!

JONAH NILSSON sang another Michael Jackson song BILLY JEAN for his manager and mentor from back in the day music legend QUINCY JONES, also on stage were 2 bass players from the old Michael Jackson days. RICHARD BONA and MARCUS MILLER.
