At 61 year's old I've seen a couple hundred Band's , i attended this concert it was the Greatest Concert I've ever seen at 33 song's who has that kind of stamina ? BAND MAID ❤ !
You are starting to see why we love these ladies so much! The world is a better place with these wonderful people in it spreading so much love and joy (and sometimes 120bpm punk prog mayhem - "Black Hole")! Soon you will be ready for the documentary series on each member that slowly gives the incredible history of this band - made by Ohrenje on his channel. Trust me, the origin and early days of this band is quite nuts. Must do them in order though, Saiki first. Each member has a 30min doc, except Miku. She has three 30 min docs! You will see why! We will watch them with you. By the end you will be in love with this band more than you could believe. Have a great new year Po!
This one was emotional for them, too. I woke up at 4am local time to watch the stream of this, live. Endless Story was the final song of the concert of their lives, and they had some tears of happiness as it was all finished up.
BAND-MAID cares more about their fans than any band I’ve seen. There’s a video from the same show of them playing “Choose Me” while walking around the venue. They don’t miss a note.
Happy New Year to you too Deezy. I must be getting soft in my old age because I can’t watch the live performance without a tear coming to my eye. On the Blu-ray of the concert, you see more at the end and you can see how emotional it was for the band as well. What a fabulous vocal performance by Saiki. Misa’s bass drives it along so well. Just great
As if the 3 1/2 hours beforehand hadn't already provided enough moving moments, with this they made absolutely sure that the last floodgate was opened for everyone who was there at the event or watched the live stream. And that lump in my throat comes back every time I see it again. I've only followed them for half of the journey that led to this evening, but the pride I feel for what these ladies have achieved without ever having met them in person is indescribable. These ladies are very special! _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - ♬ *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' ♬🕊️
The one thing about the official music video for Endless Story was that the video was shot on a volcanic island. The landscape and the sand were black, fitting their black and white image. It was both stark and beautiful. Kanami stated that she wrote the song to be an "anthem" song where the entire audience could sing along. The official live video proved that. Every great song makes an emotional connection between the artists and the audience. This is one of those songs.
@@DEEZYreact Oh, Yeah.....They performed a follow up concert a month or so after this one just so they could play other songs that they didn't play in this concert!! Who does that??? 5 Badass Maids, that's who!
I got the blu-ray of the Yokohama Arena concert and was initially disappointed at the lack of subtitles. But by the time a song or two went by, I was actually glad the words weren't there to distract me from hearing the music and seeing the performances. It's a mesmerizing spectacle from beginning to end, with this song as the finale. Seeing Band-Maid live is on my bucket list, but this concert is pretty much at the top of my "if I ever get a time machine" list.
I must admit that it would have been nice to have the spoken sections subtitled so that we could follow what the band members were saying to each other about the early performance footage. There did seem to be some funny lines flying around!
@ I’d definitely love to have subtitles for the whole thing, but I still enjoyed all the MC parts just for the mood and feelings so visible within the band.
From what I read in their interviews, this song was written for a big hall with a big crowd like Saiki said, but that venue was supposed to be the famous Budokan Arena. That show was unfortunately cancelled because of Covid, so it had to wait until this show at Yokohama Arena. They added an extra verse at the end because Saiki wanted to sing some more with us. These ladies worked their tails off at this show, I had to get up at 3am to watch the live stream and almost 4 hours later we were all exhausted and teary eyed. It was one hell of a show, 33 songs and 3 months later they did a spin-off show with a 23 song setlist because they still had plenty of great songs that they couldn't play at the Yokohama show. They have so many great songs in their catalog in 11 years of existence than most bands that have been around for 30-40 years.... It's fucking incredible. 🤘
@@ericifune5543 I think it was meant for any big hall, Budokan just happen to be the biggest hall that they were supposed to play. In an interview they mentioned they wanted to play "The One" at Yokohama but chose "Endless Story" because they hadn't had the chance to play it at a big hall yet. I can see why she would wanna play it at Yokohama, but that show was 5 years down the road from when Endless story was released, and Budokan was only 1 year after release date. As often as they play it I'm sure they would have performed it at Budokan.
@@jeffedwards9180 Kanami has said in an interview that she and Akane talked of their dream of playing Yokohama Arena years before when they started playing bigger venues instead of only clubs. Yokohama Arena was/is important to both of them. Kanami is from Kanagawa and Akane moved there while in school. Kanami said that "Endless Story" was written for that dream. Would they have played it at the Nippon Budokan? Probably, but it was written for Yokohama Arena.
@@ericifune5543 Yea, I've seen the interviews where they mention going to see shows there when they were younger. I know of the Yokohama dream, I'm just saying that she would have gotten the big hall for Endless Story at Budokan if it had not been cancelled and then her saying they wanted to do The One but choose endless. It would have been nice if they did both of these songs at Yokohama. I wish Budokan would have happened for them, but the silver lining we got "About Us".
So watching the OMV I thought there’s no way they can do it better live. Then I saw them do it live during the Yokohama Arena show. I’ll never doubt them again, especially since I’ve seen them live. Best band on the planet as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for your awesome reaction.
This song always makes me a little teary. BM often finishes concerts with this song and it occured to me that one day it might well be the last song they ever play for us 😞
The live was the finale of their tenth anniversary show. Their first solo at an arena and song 33 of a three and a half hour concert. Their first solo band was running on fumes and highly emotional. You heard Saiki’s voice crack at the end. What a performance.
I feel Band-Maid's longevity and success will become Endless Stories in the annals of Rock ‘n Roll history! Thx, Deezy! Have a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year, everyone!!!!! 🥳 That's not too much to wish for, is it? 🙄🎈
Hey Deezy we are having a live Maidstream this Saturday night 10:00 pm est on Creativity Talkings reaction channel. It would be awesome if you could possibly stop by to say hi and help us support the Maids. 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️

They wrote that extra final verse just for that grand finale concert. Great choice to do the back to back 👍🏽
