I first discovered this treasure of a tune on Catherine Russell’s Strictly Romancin’ album. I have since come to love both her and Louis Armstrong’s interpretation. I could listen to both one after the other.
Catherine Russell ..... For me: The absolute No. 1 living VOICE of Classic New Orleans - and Traditional Jazz. Her deep warm voice and super timing reminds me of the very famous JAZZERS (her father Luis Russell and his very good friend Louis Armstrong) to mention only a few "Roaring Twenties" heroes).
