Hi! I have a question, if this method will work with block(dynamic or nodynamic) with more then one attributein block? For example: have block with 6 atributes (they dont hange during paste) and the next atribute will be the atribute of number block (hange during paste)?

Thanks for this! I'm trying to set this up in Autocad Mechanical 2022, I'm just testing to see if it can be done and then will try to set it up in LT 2022. At 2:24 in your video, the "Edit Block Definition" window opens. When I double click the block, I get the "Reference Edit" window. I'm not sure what to do to correct this. I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks!
You can also right click on the block and pick edit block
@@LazyArquitecto Thanks, got it! Does this procedure have to be set up in each drawing? I created a button using the macro and the button works in the current drawing. But if I open a new drawing and pick the button I get an error. The block's name is AUNMB-LT. Autocad says it can't find, "AUNMB-LT.dwg" in the search path. I don't understand why Autocad added the ".dwg". There is no AUNMB-LT.dwg drawing, so what am I supposed to put in the search path? Thank you!
The block needs to exist in your current drawing

Hi, I tried creating your block and believe I have the expression written correctly. The block works but does not update the attribute. You seem to have only (1) pause when reinserting...to select where you want the block placed. With my block I have (2)...the first asks for insert point and the 2nd prompts me for a number to enter into the grid bubble. Do you have any idea where I am incorrect? It looks like something I can use, if I could get it working properly. Thanks.
Try to use the semi colon 2 times only, or 3 times.

I also would find this very helpful with tapered insulation numbering, it always adds a lot of time and boring repetition to the task. Cut-to-falls insulation always designate the boards via A, B, C etc. Like A = 25-45mm, B = 45-65mm etc.
Very happy I did it successfully, but can we have a way that after adding or removing one of the numbers, then the numbers that come after it change the order automatically?

I work in the organization of kitchens and throughout the process we sometimes add or remove equipments, but I can have over 100 equipments that take me a long time to change one by one. And this does not happen only 1 time for each kitchen, but it can happen 4-5 times/each. Cant wait for your tutorial. thank you so so much.
PS. My block looks like a leader with triangle with base 6cm and with a small tail 20cm in the direction of the number(height 10 and perpendicular with tail)
@jonaDCB there is no tool for that in Autocad, but I’ll try to create a custom solution but I can’t promise anything

Ahmed always glad to hear from you. To answer your question, you can easily filter out those selections using quick select command.

When I try to click or grab the block to insert in the drawing from the tool palette after inserting the macro, autocad starts displaying every command there is. It just keeps on listing commands and the block never appears. Ive double checked the macro. Any help?

Did you save your drawing first, and then drag the block to the palette? Also if the problem persist you can always go online and get any free icon and use it for your command.
This is some nice work. I recreated it today however it broke once i used it in a dynamic block. Can it work in a dynamic block?
Yes it does. What error are you getting on the command line after using it and pressing f2?
@@LazyArquitecto No error, the only thing I changed was block name. My new block name had underscore in it however, so maybe that’s what broke it.

Dudes and dudettes, I have tried and tried with no luck. There was a comment that one guy here removed one of the " ; " after INSERT where we see three " ;;; " in a bunch like so. Looks like some bad advice but this actually worked for me on full ACD 2014

Autocad LT -- how many USERi possible? I figured out that in AUTOCAD LT Just five youser allowed . Is that true?
Can we change the Variable USERI1 to a different variable name such as Ur1?

Master irving where we can find image, i tried to search in templete but i dont found the image.
First you need to drag a block to the tool palette for the image to be generated by Autocad. Then open your c drive, Autodesk, AutoCAD, support, and tool palettes, icons.

Remove the initial asterisk * and Try testing it again. This will stop the repetition

I have a Block with three Attributes representing Wireless Access Points for large Warehouses. We end up placing hundreds of these in the buildings and having it auto number as we place would be AMAZING... Happy to help you with that. When you save dwg and drag column bubble block on tool palette, Autocad should create the image for the block automatically. Did you do this step?

Cant find the image saved.
First you need save the drawing, to drag a block to the tool palette for the image to be generated by Autocad. Then open your c drive, Autodesk, AutoCAD, support, and tool palettes, icons.

I have done exactly as you said but autonumbering isn't working. its showing same number again. I am using AutoCAD LT 2022
There are some commands in the full version of AutoCAD that are not available in Autocad LT. What I will do is start testing some of the commands and system variables individually on the command line used on the macro code and find out the one that is not available to remove it from the code. Hopefully this helps

The block will not auto number, I have used other peoples suggestions below, but it displays the USERI1 text on screen Or ….1 but then just numbers everything 2 repeatedly…?

I’m running on Autocad 21..
The best I can get it to do, is to select it each time from the palette- I have to drag it to my attribute, then it allows you to type a number manually before pressing enter…
@@paulbuckley52 what error do you get after using the command and pressing F2?
@@LazyArquitecto I’m not seeing any error codes as such, there just doesn’t seem to be a function working where it automatically numbers the next attribute.
I am currently having to type in each count number manually.

I am having one problem at work on AutoCAD.
I used to be able to Move, Copy, etc multiple items by clicking one item (say and door) and then another (another door but different room) and Then move.
But what ever I have done. (Not sure) I can only move one at a time now.
Not sure what I have done to change this setting.
Can you help correct??

Do you have the block saved in your current drawing? That's what may be causing the issue.

Hi , I tried this and tried again but not working, is inserting the block but no autonumbering, I cannot figure out why here is the code I added it:
