Thank you Jesus, thank you
Oh Yahweh, without you, I am hopeless and helpless. Let me stand on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as my only firm foundation
WoW! Have mercy, oh Lord, on me the sinner! 😢
" For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemed sin in the flesh that the righteouness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Romans 3:3-4✝️
Amen
The law should drive us to the good news of the gospel
R. C is always on point. I miss him
Amen! Oh God, don't ever let us walk away from Him, in Jesus' Name Amen!
What a powerful prayer to end; in such few words. God don’t ever let us walk away from Him, amen.
Amen Sproul. Eternal life is only attainable throught Jesus Christ our Saviour. May we bless His beautiful name forevermore. God bless you all.
Oh this passage trips me up because it almost seemed like he was requiring the men to do right before he can get right and it’s hard for me to reconcile it with faith alone. Someone please pray for God to help me understand. I don’t want to have this wrong
God bless RC Sproul and his family.
He died in 2017 but his teachings stay forever
What a beautiful sermon on truth❤️ thank God we are saved by grace, thank God
That last prayer summed up the entire sermon! 🙏😣
Amen
Oh, God grant that we will have teachers of your word in our generation. This is a very deep lesson. God, help me to know its by Faith alone that I am justified, and not by the works of the law. Thank you God.
Why is it hard for a rich man to enter Heaven if God is sovereign over salvation?
24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God ALL THINGS are possible.”
Hard for man, there will be more pains, more temptations and eyes to pluck out. Hard for God to get him there with all wisdom and power? Absolutely NOT unless you are willing to call Christ a liar.
I have been trying to get an understanding of this passage..I feel I finally am getting it. Thank you for this ministry..blessings!!
Yes, me too. This was the parable the Lord used to open my eyes to the Gospel. I was teaching a senior ladies adult SS class. Praise God for His mercy and how He looked at us, and loved us and may we never walk away.
Kept by His grace.
Amen
The just shall live by Faith alone
The pearl of great price
Amen
"The harvest is past
The summer is ended
And we are not yet saved"
Jeremiah 8:20✝️
Amen
The rich young ruler still "worships" among us
still needs to accept salvation
By grace alone
Standing on the law
And so not saved
Bless the Lord
Thank You Jesus! wht can I say.....
amen
James 2 : 24
24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
Why does the speaker say that we can we saved by grace alone while the Apostle James says different 🤔?
Good question. Here’s the AMP translation: “You see that a man (believer) is justified by works and not by faith alone [that is, by acts of obedience a born-again believer reveals his faith].”
James 2:24 AMP”
James speaks of works (“what they do”) in a slightly different context here. He’s talking about how one who is righteous inevitably shows it in his actions, as opposed to people who only say they “believe” but there is no evidence of a transformed heart.
If there was a formula for this, it would be:
Faith + Jesus’ work (not ours) = Salvation (which then results in good works because of our gratitude to God)
This is what the gospel is NOT:
Our works + Jesus’ work =/= Salvation
Notice that good works must come as a result of salvation, NOT as a prerequisite for it.
Good for you to observe that, as it is vital in our understanding of the gospel. I hope this helps!
@@DarlaBaltazar Thany you for responding. Thinking about this, what is faith, what I mean is that how do I visualise faith. Are we to follow the way Jesus lived. He did alot of works that were good, healing people etc. Sure an outworking of faith in Jesus is that we love our neighbours. And if we love our neighbours surely we should help our neighbours in their time of need, like the good samaritan.
Faith in Jesus Christ should filter into every aspect of you life. This will motivate you to act out your faith in your community.
James 2:24 is not talking about salvation or how to go to heaven
So he mentions the Sabbath but congregates on Sunday? Great sermon though.
this seems like a rather tortured exposition. the rich young ruler asked what to do to inherit eternal life, jesus answered, the rich young ruler confirmed he had done so, jesus said in this you have done well. and moving on . . . jesus said, if you would be perfect, do this other thing. apparently inheriting eternal life and being perfect are two different things? a question, not a statement. such a strange teacher, this jesus, is asked a question, loves questioner, but tells him nothing of what is outlined in this video.

Notice that Jesus didn’t suggest that the young man sell his possessions and donate the money to his ministry, so Jesus could buy some property and build a building as a meeting place for believers, and so establish the Christian Church. .
And?
Because that wasn’t Jesus mission. And it would’ve been in vain to setup a physical place of worship due to 40 years later the Romans would come and raze Israel.
