My dad can't leave his mini pin out of the crate whenever he goes somewhere. If he does, the dog will leaves piles and puddles all over the house, especially on my dad's bed. The dog just turned 3 not that long ago and he still will go whenever he wants, even if he was just outside 5 minutes before. He's certainly been a challenge for my dad, but he's still a good dog despite that
@A G I'm happy to report that Athena is now potty trained! Gone are the days of waking up with poop and pee on me LOL but seriously that was disgusting you guys
@@AintSchabusiness what! That's disgusting it's easier to just pick it up with a plastic bag at least LOL he ended up creating way more work for himself
My chihuahua was potty trained by my lab mix. You have to be consistent taking them out until fully potty trained. My chihuahua has never had an accident in my house. He goes to the door and barks when he has to go out to potty. ( My chi is male )
I knew chihuahua's had to be on the list, haha! We had a sweet male chi who lived to be 21 years old and was never fully house trained. We had to watch him vigilantly and even then he sometimes managed to sneak one in :) We now have a rat terrier who has always been a bit OCD about his cleanliness and pottying habits and will only go if he's outdoors, period. Like night and day.
Thank goodness for belly bands! I rescued a stray yorkie mix almost a year ago. I guessed he was around 6 months old at that time. I've crate trained him, and usually spend all day with him, taking him out every hour or so. He can go 8-9 hours through the night without wetting his belly band, so I know he can hold it. Still, his urge to mark is too strong, and he'll lift his leg on just about anything in the house, or out. If he's uncrated in the house, he is wearing a belly band. I can't watch him constantly, he can't be trusted, and I'm not willing to let him damage my house. I have to rinse, soak and wash a load for him, about once a week. I wouldn't have kept him, if not for belly bands. But he's adorable, and I love him.
We had a chi and she was super easy to train. Never had an accident and she even woke me up when she needed to go. Had to put her down a couple of months ago and I miss her beyond belief every day.
I had a very easy time house training my boxer, but was quite shocked at how much more difficult it was to house train my shepherd/labrador mix. He's almost a year and a half old and I've just finally gotten him house trained. I was very lucky to get my boxer fully house trained by 6 months. It's amazing how easy it becomes once you find the method that works best for getting them to let you know when they need to go. My boxer used bells and the shepherd/lab mix has actually managed to learn that when she does that, that it's time to go potty. Since he doesn't want to be away from her for long, he sits by the door while she goes out and waits until she comes back for his turn.
Completely agree with you on Yorkies and potty training. My Lola goes to the bathroom in her pads. The pads are in her bedroom and when she has a bowel movement she starts barking to let you know she’s done. She’s a trip.
Pugs can be extremely smarst. Mine is. I didn't watch the entire video. Were Pugs mentioned here? Mine was poddy trained in about a month or so with "training sheets". After that his record has been "spotless". Always tells me when he wants to go out. He's about to turn 4 in about a week. My other two dogs I had growing up...one after the other weren't as well trained..don't know why. Maybe it's the particular dog...not the breed. Fist dog was a Pekingese. 2nd a Shih Tzu. Both bought from a pet shop...back when dogs could be sold from pet shops. 3rd dog Pug was bought from a breeder. Doubt this has anything to do with it. My family didn't use "sheet"..don't know why. They would on occasion leave surprises. Not a lot. Mostly they were good about going outside. Knew it. But not as good as my current dog. When I first got him I made a few mistakes before he was poddy trained like letting him walk around on my bed. :) Had to replace my comforter. :) My mistake. Since he became trained...he's been allowed on my bed. Sleeps with me. on top of the covers.
I have a chaminpin (Chihuahua+minpin) I inherited her as a rescue when she was about 9 mo old un house trained in the middle of a Ca (rainy) winter. I used crate training and a very close eye. She hated the crate -still does to the day- but I hate puddles and piles even more, so until she demonstrated consistent control when I could watch her she was in the crate (which really was only when I wasn’t home) she learned fairly quickly to potty out side- (I think it helped I had two other very well trained dogs to demonstrate appropriate potty behavior) what we struggle with for almost a year this was the potty out side-poop inside pattern during bad weather (miss princess hated the rain) she finally got the idea tho and only had 1 short regression when I moved to a new house in Ut where it was snow hail and rain that challenged her delicate sensibilities. I also put in a dog door (which she LOVES) since I work very long hours. And while during the winter the preferred potty/pooty spot moves to just out side the door instead of middle of lawn, it is STILL out side -Win! I love my Chaminpin and I’m glad we don’t have ongoing struggles in the house training dept. I am worried about when I want to get a new pup (loving the Cavachons and Cavapoos) and my 13 hour work shifts- that’s a long time for a little puppy to be alone (if tinned just right I could take 2 weeks off work- but still it’s a lot to ask of a still very young and new baby). Any suggestions (no, it’s not an option for anyone to come in while I’m gone to let her out -I work nights every o e I know who could would sleeping)
Pugs are not difficult to potty train. You must take them out often. Confine them to a small area when you are not there. They are just puppies and just like babies the go whenever the urge hits. You must not wait until they need to go, so you must get them outside until they get it. It's hard work. Remember no dog likes to be in their on mess so if you put them in a crate or other small area, they will soon get the idea that they must hold it or get in the soiled mess. The get pretty quick.
My great dane will pee and poo in their cage and then play in it! So I wouldn't say no dog won't go in a small spot cause they will. Go for a 45 min walk and as soon as they are back in they go. Then other time they go as soon as we walk out. We've been at it for weeks trying to train and its like nothing is working.
I disagree that Chihuahuas are impossible to fully potty train. My parents got me my first Chi when I was 12, and I have not been without one since. They really do have tiny bladders and have to "go" frequently. You have to be consistent, anticipate their needs and never harsh when they do make a mistake. They also hate any kind of bad weather. Pee pads or a litter pan is a great thing to have on hand. Here is a tip for tiny males who can't quite hit the pee pad. Give them something to aim at in the center of the pad. For example a weighted down soda bottle. It must be weighted down tho, it it falls over, he will be scared and won't try that again.
@@danielledewitt1 they're a good idea if you aren't able to take them out (i.e. I live in Florida and pee pads sell like crazy during hurricane season). They can learn that the pee pad is the only place to go inside.
@@danielledewitt1 I'm not saying they should be used instead of house training. They mentioned in the video that Chihuahuas don't like to go out in bad weather and sometimes it's to dangerous to take them out, like during a hurricane. I'm just saying, I'd rather teach my dog that pee pads are allowed when they're down instead of cleaning rugs and carpets or trying to figure out when the dog had it's accident. It's definitely not a substitute to actual house training though.
I have a chi pin mix and even though she is housebroken now she did go inside a few times. Now she tells us when she needs out but standing near the door or getting one of us. I also fully housebroke my Chihuahua by putting the water bowl outside so whenever she needed out or needed water she could potty while outside if she needed. Also worked for Eevee. I recommend this method along with any other housebreaking methods your using.
Potty training Italian Greyhounds is an annual process if you live in a cold climate. They will be fine all through the summer months, but once the weather turns cold they will always test the boundaries and relieve themselves in the house. A firm reminder that they still need to go outside is usually all they need to correct the behavior, and a doggy sweater or jacket is always a good idea to encourage going outdoors.
Dad bought new lino for our kitchen floor. For some reason, it left violet stains whenever our mini dachshund puppy peed on it. I'd happily forgotten how hard it was to "potty train" him. There's as Danish breeder of standard dachshund who says on her homepage, that your dachshund will never be entirely potty trained - honest talk. I didn't find that to be true with our mini though.
I knew chihuahuas would be number one and min pins wouldn't be far behind. I have both and trying to get them to pee only outside is a monumental task. Good thing their cuteness makes up for it.
I had a Jack Russel who kept peeing on the VCR and made it blow up, and then he peed on the new one. He was very smart and would pee on things to punish you. I had a min pin that peed on the back of every chair he drove me crazy. I had a Pomeranian that had a constant contest with the min pin to pee on the back of all the chairs he peed on because of this I replaced all the upholstered furniture with leather just so I could clean them easier. Then there’s the chihuahuas not 1, not 2, not 3, but four of them. One was mixed with a chinese crested powderpuff, named Max. Max has the bladder of steel he went with me to Germany and France and held his bladder though 3 planes three airports and a cab ride and didn’t pee until we got all the way to my friends house in Hamburg. He is sneaky and will mark a spot that the other male chihuahua marks and they are constantly having a pissing match. He likes to leave a nice poop on the carpet hidden away so he gets sent outside a lot and all dogs are not allowed to be in the living rooms unattended. My two little girl chihuahuas both were paper trained which just ended up meaning that anything that was on the floor should be a place to pee, like the bathroom rug the kitchen rug and all area rugs. My poor little Hunny peed on the floor between my bedroom and my dressing room so many times that she warped the floor boards and we had to have the floorboards replaced and refinished. She unfortunately is no longer with us. Then there’s Lil Gurl the smallest of all the chihuahuas she’s only about 7 pounds if that. She was a run away that we rescued and have no idea how she was trained but she is the stubborn East of all the dogs. We have just moved to Texas to a really big ranch house and in my master bedroom there is a door to the patio, she has been very good about going outside but she also thinks anything on the ground should be peed on. She has peed on the bed when she got left alone and she has had to wear little panties to break her of that. In the new house I had chemdry come out and sterilize all the chairs and rugs that the other dogs had been peeing on and now there hasn’t been any accidents but, I have to keep a hawk eye on all of them. We have only the three chihuahuas left all the others passed away of old age in their own times and we have little urns with their ashes and collars and pictures. Lil Gurl does not take well to being scolded, she does not like anything to disturb her or moving around at dinner time either she will refuse to eat if she gets upset, and she is really sneaky and will run out into the living room and get on the couch to sit on a pillow if she is not watched every second. I have finally trained her to sit and come after 2 years and she still doesn’t really respond to her name but we have no idea where she came from or what her name was. I think the move to Texas was the best thing, all the dogs were freaked out when the movers came to take away all the furniture and they were in the car for three days driving and hotel stops overnight, but not one dog had an accident on the entire trip. They were so excited when they got to the new house they all ran around like little puppies full of spirit and there has been no accidents on the bed or the carpet or any of the rugs because I have stayed vigilant in my training and I am retired now so nobody gets left alone anymore. So I can attest to everything you said in this video. We are going to be getting a six week old puppy in a couple of days a little boy who is a terrier golden retriever mix and then the training begins all over again. I think I’ve got it down to a science and this little boy will be my best trained dog of all of them because I’m going to spend all my time training him and reinforcing the training of the others at the same time creating a happy well adjusted pack.
I'm so glad I got a Shar Pei he is very smart and was easy to train. I got him pre house broken but I had to put him back on track it was more the fact I forgot how often a new pup needs to go outside.
Remarkable. I had no idea that some of these breeds were hard to potty train. I live and learn my friend. It's a good idea to also know about the part of the dog that doesn't bite. Great video mate.
I either had the exception to the rule or you left off the Basset hound from your list. Mine was the most difficult to potty train dog I’ve ever owned.
My mom's Jack Russells are pains, she's had them a few months and they've still not learnt, my Shiba Inu is a confusing one though. He'll pee on the pad, but not poop or he will poop sometimes, but not others. He's constantly grooming himself though. It's like trying to train a cat sometimes.
Oh I’ve definitely had my nightmare with dog training I wish I’d known about these doggy litter boxes sooner than this story right here would’ve made things so much easier
My Jack Russell was easy to train in one week. My male Miniature Pinscher was extremely difficult and still is at age 15, even if I take him out every two hours, I have put puppy pads at his favorite spots which has helped. The female Jack is super great even at age 11.
Beagles. I fostered 1 Beagle and 2 Beagle mixes, each one separately. I grew up with dogs and fostered a number of dogs and those 3 were the most difficult to house train. They just did not get the concept.
I've just got a Pug puppies. Who at 10 weeks old was using the puppy pads 70% of the time. He's very good at night as he will only use the bathroom floor which is vinyl. Our problem is we can cover the whole floor in puppy pads and he will find the one tiny piece that isn't. Which means we are going through pads at an astronomical rate as they end up floating rather than soaking
I've had a lot of trouble to potty train my chihuahua. He is my first dog and I didn't think that it would be that hard to potty train considering I've only been around the dogs of my friends who were already potty trained. So I got quite frustrated with my chihuahua. Nowadays, (he is currently 9) he does all of his business outside and will hold it up to 10 hours if left by himself. I come back from work and take him out right away. Now, I only struggle with him during winter. I have a backyard so it helps but he may have an accident if I forget to put the pipipad down or if he gets too cold.
Both my 16 year old Chihuahua and the 10 and a half year old wire haired dachshund hate to go outside when it rains. They absolutely detest having their fuzzy butts get wet. Fortunately I only have one room in my house that has carpeting and God willing when I get the money's to get my hardwood floors redone the carpeting is coming out of that dining room and the hardwood will get repaired, strip, sanded, and three layers of polyurethane put on everything.
@@AnimalFacts I did not even mention how, when the Chihuahua is perturbed with me, he will deliberately go up to either one of my antique dining room chairs or my electric fireplace, hike his leg and look over at his shoulder at me as if to say, " Now what are you going to do about it, huh ?" But I love the little toot and will be absolutely desperate and distraught when it's time for him to cross that Rainbow Bridge and the same thing applies to Billy the Kid, a wire-haired dachshund. They are my babies, and they know it, LOL ! He even gets fed breakfast and dinner in bed, MY bed, so that Billy or any of the three cats do not eat his food. Yep, they're spoiled rotten.
Hi! I was wondering if I'd see your keys on that list. It took me 3 years to get my Yorkie housebroken we have to be very attentive when he tells us he has to go out, there's no waiting. LOL
I don't know how my chihuahua is so good about going outside to potty. The trouble is that she prefers to poop only with ME and not her daddy because he gets annoyed with her and I am more patient.
I had a sheltie once that we had the hardest time potty training! As a puppy she liked to go in the dining room (which was carpeted) instead of outside for months! As soon as she was potty trained we had to take out all the carpet because there was a nasty ring of stains around the table from her. We tried hiring a team of professional carpet cleaners more than once and they couldn't get the stains out completely! Of course, even when she was full grown we couldn't put rugs by the doors or cushioned mats in the kitchen because she would pee on them even though she didn't pee in the bedrooms where we still had carpet. I think she was just marking them because they didn't smell like her territory. Other than that, the worst potty training story I have with any other dog was my lab mix we got from someone who must have abused him, because the first time he had an accident (he'd only been with us a week, so we didn't have the communication yet) he tried to hide from me and was shaking like crazy! I very calmly tried to take home outside so he could do anything else he needed (I wasn't upset at all and didn't try to reprimand him because it wasn't his fault) and he FREAKED OUT! Before I knew what was happening he started screaming and gator rolling and bit my hand and wrist! I still have a scar from it! But, because I somehow managed to stay really calm and not react, he calmed down enough for me to get my fingers out of his collar and let him go. He ended up running to the back door so I let him out and cleaned up the mess. After that, in the VERY rare times he had an accident he learned that I wasn't actually going to hurt him and started acting like a normal dog. Maybe just hung his head a little lower and avoided eye contact more than others, but no more freakouts and a LOT more trust!
What is little known is that horses can also be "potty trained", e.g. to use a single location in a stall or even a bucket, to pee on cue, and to not relieve themselves when in a dwelling or even a hospital (see the remarkable two-part French film "Peyo, Cheval de Coeur"). In fact, people who train horses like that have to ensure that a horse will not inadvertantly restrain itself thereby endangering its health and life, and attention must be paid to the need for a horse to relieve itself more frequently than a dog or human (hence the desirability of training to relieve on a suitable unique cue).
I had a pom chi and 3 breeds on that list and I had to rehome her because I had tried everything to potty train her for 6 months and no success. So I did find her a good home but it was a nightmare.
Yorkie’s cousin Australian silky Terrier are not any easier 😆 we used male wraps in the house. I can take my Silky for a walk and he’ll still pee and/ or poop right after coming inside.
Amber Dawn I was looking for a Silky on the list too!!! My dog will literally be outside for 30 minutes then come back inside and pee! I am STRUGGLING!
I have an 11 year old Pug and a 2 year old Chi. Neither one was hard to train and neither one ever goes in the house. They always let us know when they need to go and they dont care about rain. I dont know of any other pugs or chis that behave the way you described either. Where did you get the info about those breeds?
I have a chorkie (Chihuahua-yorkie terrier mix) Been had him for about 4 months he's a 5 month old puppy and potty training has been a little difficult some days he'll go on the paper then some days he decides to poop on the stairs in my home
I have to say I had a greyhound (X racer) she was easy to train and one of the best dogs I ever had. And a mini pin she was a shelter dog she was an old girl. She never had an accident in the house.i think females are the better dogs they are smarter. And more loving.
I’m on here reading comments and of course Chihuahuas are one of the most tales about lol 😂 I got a chihuahua that an old friend gave to me. His wife would leave the small chihuahua outside in the rain and like he’s a small puppy he decided to ask around and see who wanted it so I took him into my home and it’s been a Frkn nightmare. I don’t want to give up on him but man he’s pooping and peeing Everywhere!!!! I’m about to give up. He destroyed my hole too 😭😭😭 he went into my restroom and chewed up EVERYTHING and pooped EVERYWHERE there was poop even on the walls!!! I’ve fostered Large dogs so I thought this was going yo be easy but I was Completely Mistaken 😭 I still love him and I’m Not giving up lol 😂
My Patterdale is very much like a Jack Russell. And she has been a nightmare to potty train. She shredded the indoor potty training mat and if she poohs inside, she'll often eat to hide the evidence. Oh yes, she loves to eat poop - indoors and out, hers or any other dogs'.
My bow is a english bulldog. She was potty trained in 8 weeks it took alot of patients and treats.Standing outside in the cold and 12am wasnt fun!Like the video mentioned you need to learn your dogs i need the toilet behavior.Sniffing and pacing back and forth was a number one tell tail sign for me as soon as i spotted bow doing that it was straight to the garden.Alot.of the dogs mentioned in this.video are small breeds with.smaller bladders so i guess it would be harder.Im not a small dog person myself thank god lol oh and if you dont have hard wood floors with a pup i highly suggest laying some as your house will smell🤢puppy urine is so strong
I have a chi who has a dedicated potty zone inside. But she has decided to add a little area to the potty zone and this cannot be. So I have been resticting her for a week. And she is being just plain stubborn. Peeing is pretty good on day 8 but she is refusing to poop. What can I do about that? One Christmas I went to a family members house for several days. Extremely cold so we set up a potty zone. She refused! She did not pee or poop until day 4. She can really hold it!
My pomchi took 6 months to potty train I had to keep her on a leash for two weeks inside and when we were sleeping so she wouldn’t jump off and pee. Now she is potty trained but every now and then about once a month there will be an accident in the house
They forgot one breed: Chinese Crested. They are sweet animals they get very attached to one or two people and are absolutely wonderful companions! They are, however, terrible at potty training. These are the cutest little dogs but they are nearly impossible to housebreak. Just keep that in mind before you get one. I love mine and I wouldn’t trade her for anything!
A long, long time ago I received a BA in Print Journalism (now virtually useless) with a minor in Creative Writing. RUclips has been a wonderful chance to flex old skills.
Jack russells are actually easy to train they are just a smart dog but are easy to train, dachshunds are known to be stubborn and hard to house train (they are ultimately the blue russian of the dog world) they are a one person owner and they definitely aren't for novice owners you definitely have to research the breed, there is another dog that is hard to house train and that is a tibetan spaniel they are vindictive and bossy, they get like a chihuahua when toilet training but also shows traits like the dachshund to, but I don't agree with the jack russell being on the list
So I've heard. And it really doesn't make a lot of sense considering how smart they are and how easy they are to train to do other things. I guess they just don't wanna.
RokSimmer (gal4God) we just bought a yorkipoo two months ago and he is sooooo stubborn. He will pee on his pad and poop on the floor next to it or vice-versa. He uses his pads when he wants 😩😒
beware with the dachshund, they can be perfectly potty trained for years and then not be. When we moved our two dachshunds decided that a new house meant new rules and that they could go where ever they want.
My dog 'went' in front of the door in our new apartment but I think she was marking the place and leaving her scent by the door. After weeks or so she stopped
Bull on the Chihuahuas..my long hair was a saint at being house broken...had female Dachshunds that was a saint also but my one and only male has been a night mare
Never met a Chihuahua, Shih Tzu, Dachshund, or Yorkie that was fully trained. Bigger dogs seem easier than smaller dogs but those breeds are by far the worst. Corgis, most herding breeds and guarding breeds are superior at it. I've had a Rottweiler×Aussie Shep for 10 years and she has never once had an accident. Same with her Corgi brother. 15 years old, last accident was when he was a puppy. If you love your carpets and hardwoods, choose your breeds wisely.
Mayaxx XR Hi my Yorkie was 3 year old rescue and I used puppy pee pads and gradually moved them outside praised her and gave her treats each time she went the only thing is Yorkies won’t go outside if it’s raining. Good Luck from England
I had a beagle for 11 years. He messed the kitchen every day when I was at work. Pooped all over it. And then smeared it all over. Do I have to say what a mess it was to come home to? But we did love him so I got a bissell floor washer and cleaned it every day.
I had my chihuahua house trained, but then I got a min pin rescue who refused to potty train and who basically untrained my chihuahua. It was horrible.
Do you have any potty training horror stories?
Yes I do I just got a German Shepherd puppy girl and I have woken up to find out that she pooped and peed on me on my bed three times already 😱
My husband ran our roomba through a big pile. I was fine with just throwing the roomba away after that. But he cleaned it all out. Ugh....never again

Mish-elle Incognito No they don’t, dogs don’t know what spite is.
Good information to know. No pugs or poms for me. I love cats and dogs , but not accidents.
Pugs are much smarter than given credit. They are lazy. Potty training is the easy part. Very easy to leash train.

My Jack Russell was house broken by our Collie mix. He was so easy. He was the goodest boy.
I had my pug since he's a puppy and it's not even hard to pottie train him. He maybe stubborn but not pottie train part.
We tried that and our pug wouldn't stop crying.
Totally Agree. Our pug will bark If he wants to go outside to pee or poop
Janus Loggins Puppy pads are bad, they teach dogs hey inside is the place to go.
@@danielledewitt1 they're a good idea if you aren't able to take them out (i.e. I live in Florida and pee pads sell like crazy during hurricane season). They can learn that the pee pad is the only place to go inside.
Katie Rosa No they’re not. People who use them are lazy.
Katie Rosa The chihuahuas I have met love going out in bad weather. I say make puppy pads illegal.
The Yorkie-a housebreaking nightmare in a cute package! I’ll take the shedding of a Labrador ANY day!
I had a beautiful golden Labrador who was such a clean girl. My maltipoo is a nightmare. I feel your pain.
Good tip about male dogs having more difficulty with pee pads/paper!! I had no idea
We had a Bichon for 16 years. Fastest pad trained dog we have ever shared our lives with.
Thanks for another great video!
So.... Don't get a small dog. Unless you want to be a doggy chamber maid. 😂
Linda Reed Remove the puppy pads. They confuse them.
Beagles. I fostered 1 Beagle and 2 Beagle mixes, each one separately. I grew up with dogs and fostered a number of dogs and those 3 were the most difficult to house train. They just did not get the concept.
1stAmbientGrl I had two beagles. Females. One was hard and she went whenever. The other one could be left alone while I worked and she was fine.
My first chihuahua was the easy to train, but my Bichon took 18 months 😐😐. It’s hard to predict.
Mary Ellen Cook ❤❤❤
Very true, my pug is 8 years old and still shits in the house maybe once every 2 months. 💩I still love him though.
Hi! I was wondering if I'd see your keys on that list. It took me 3 years to get my Yorkie housebroken we have to be very attentive when he tells us he has to go out, there's no waiting. LOL
Traveling with a big litter box + turf. We pad trained our dogs easier to travel with, expensive. We buy by the case. Much easier for travel.
3:11 my cousin did litter box training on her pug
I don't know how my chihuahua is so good about going outside to potty. The trouble is that she prefers to poop only with ME and not her daddy because he gets annoyed with her and I am more patient.
Beagles are the worst 😂 currently dealing with one now
I had a sheltie once that we had the hardest time potty training!
Our JST, 😅 it was hard to train. You must go every 15 minutes or half hour outside. And treats help.
What is little known is that horses can also be "potty trained", e.g. to use a single location in a stall or even a bucket, to pee on cue, and to not relieve themselves when in a dwelling or even a hospital (see the remarkable two-part French film "Peyo, Cheval de Coeur"). In fact, people who train horses like that have to ensure that a horse will not inadvertantly restrain itself thereby endangering its health and life, and attention must be paid to the need for a horse to relieve itself more frequently than a dog or human (hence the desirability of training to relieve on a suitable unique cue).
awuma Thanks for the info!
I had a pom chi and 3 breeds on that list and I had to rehome her because I had tried everything to potty train her for 6 months and no success. So I did find her a good home but it was a nightmare.
I am surprised you mentioned pugs. I have had pugs as pets for all my life and have never had any trouble training them to potty. You must take the
Yorkie’s cousin Australian silky Terrier are not any easier 😆 we used male wraps in the house. I can take my Silky for a walk and he’ll still pee and/ or poop right after coming inside.
Amber Dawn I was looking for a Silky on the list too!!! My dog will literally be outside for 30 minutes then come back inside and pee! I am STRUGGLING!
Dachshunds can be vindictive and spiteful 🤣🤣🤣. True.
I like that you put kermit and jenna in your video
I had my pug since he's a puppy, not hard to pottie train him.
Yuyu Htoo ❤❤❤
I got my teenager a pom, he is so hard to potty train!!!! I have a Shepard and he was not as hard to potty train.
I have an 11 year old Pug and a 2 year old Chi. Neither one was hard to train and neither one ever goes in the house. They always let us know when they need to go and they dont care about rain. I dont know of any other pugs or chis that behave the way you described either. Where did you get the info about those breeds?
I have a chorkie (Chihuahua-yorkie terrier mix)
Been had him for about 4 months he's a 5 month old puppy and potty training has been a little difficult some days he'll go on the paper then some days he decides to poop on the stairs in my home
My dachshund pug mix pees on everything when shes excited 😭
I’ve fostered Large dogs so I thought this was going yo be easy but I was Completely Mistaken 😭
I still love him and I’m Not giving up lol 😂
My chi just gives me a "dude, are you serious?" look when I want her to potty outside.
Bassett hounds are hard to train it took me a year to get mine housebroken Completely
I love “drop it a like.” Almost like “drop it like it’s hot.” With admiration, a , Retired English University Professor. (Good choices)
A long, long time ago I received a BA in Print Journalism (now virtually useless) with a minor in Creative Writing. RUclips has been a wonderful chance to flex old skills.
Where did you get such a awesome harness on the first dog on the video , ? I am not to good shopping on line ,thanks 😊
Where do Havanese fall on this list? I know that they’re infamously hard to train, my dog seemed to be about as hard to train as the bichon frise
Outside of this list, but not too far out.
Always enjoy your vids. I use the Stonie Dennis method for potty training without fail .
Moonbot 7 Thank you very much 🙂
Help! My Shorkie puppy pees on the potty pads, but poops on the floor. Have to scrub every day.
My puppy also poops in her bed, and also in my Rottweiler's bed. Has she got a mental problem?
Which are the easiest breeds to housetrain?
My Chow-Chow was effortless to potty train. 🤓
Six month old german shepherd male and female not peeing outside only inside home. Please let know will it continue as long as they grow
I have 3 dachshunds all 3 are spoiled rotten. Ages are 7, 6, and 4 I use pee pads depending on their mood depends on whether are not they use it
Alisa Clark ❤❤❤
Cockerpoos are a nightmare to potty train.
So I've heard. And it really doesn't make a lot of sense considering how smart they are and how easy they are to train to do other things. I guess they just don't wanna.
I knew dachshund would be on there. I have chiweenies and they are stubborn.
I'm glad our puppy is a Brittany, will be easy to potty train haha
Super smart dogs!
GP should be on here😂
My mum has a toy Yorkie who we think is part chihuahua and he askes to go outside and poops to come in and poop again purposely.
RokSimmer (gal4God) we just bought a yorkipoo two months ago and he is sooooo stubborn. He will pee on his pad and poop on the floor next to it or vice-versa. He uses his pads when he wants 😩😒
Of course I have a Chiweenie 🤣
beware with the dachshund, they can be perfectly potty trained for years and then not be.
How to i house train a 3 year old rescue yokie boy any tips please
Mayaxx XR Hi my Yorkie was 3 year old rescue and I used puppy pee pads and gradually moved them outside praised her and gave her treats each time she went the only thing is Yorkies won’t go outside if it’s raining. Good Luck from England
I love these vids.. but that chick taking selfies... hahahahahahaha
I'm getting the idea pee pee problems are mainly with small breeds?
Finally correct Bichon’s are the worst stress dogs in all area’s!
Where would you say toy poodles fall on the potty training difficulty scale?
Standard Poodles ... easy. Min and Toy can be challenging.
Makes sense! I’m guessing it’s small-dog related?
What breeds are easiest to potty train
I've had boxers and Dobies that were simple...super smart, effortless
I had a beagle for 11 years. He messed the kitchen every day when I was at work. Pooped all over it. And then smeared it all over. Do I have to say what a mess it was to come home to? But we did love him so I got a bissell floor washer and cleaned it every day.
Chinese crested are a nightmare. Took me 1 year to potty train
I'm glad shih tzu isn't on this list, but doesn't every little dog breed have small bladderd?
My chihuahua is fully house trained
NICE
How about a video how to trim nails on large dogs that won't let u trim their nails
When I figure out how to do that without getting bruises and scratches I will let you know. Lol
The vet gave me some sedative but it didn't work
Our Bichon was the easiest dog we have ever trained.
I was literally going to say that! My Bichon is the easiest dog I have ever had to train to do anything.. Potty training took less then a week
My 10 month old pomeranian is driving me crazy!!!
My dachshunds are very smart but very stubborn
Alisa Clark ❤❤❤
I was gonna praise you on not using house broken at all then chi showed up. You never break an animal of anything :/
Beagles are difficult to potty train.
I had my chihuahua house trained, but then I got a min pin rescue who refused to potty train and who basically untrained my chihuahua. It was horrible.
Yeah... that happens sometime unfortunately.
Jack Russell are to potty train, my jack Russell Millie went outside to do her business, she grow up with two male dog's
