I think it's a good idea to have two different scales to review these things with. One for the design and another for the quality. I still think it's sad when budget friendly items use very low quality materials. Even if you're not spending as much money as on jpn brand you still want your items to last so you can enjoy them for at least a few times wearing them. In the end I'd rather spend a little bit more if it means they use better quality materials.
@@ImAiryMichelle I buy a lot of lace from AliExpress for sewing projects at home, the lace that I have received has been hit or miss. Some of it is great and the best quality I've ever seen, some of it has already frayed, has little holes in it, embroidery mistakes and looks like it will not survive one wash. A lot of it is in between those two extremes. I think it's because of that I am so annoyed when I see lace on lolita items that is fraying, has the embroidery come apart or is stiff and scratchy. It's gotten to the point where I was disappointed with some of the lace on Btssb items.

i love the cat applique ^.^ reminds me of old angelic pretty applique stuff. so cute. the stitching issue is unfortunate though.
It looks so nice! I really wish I bought more Taobao! The quality has increased so much in the last 7 years it seems. Though I do hate waiting haha
Taobao brands have really stepped up their game in the past few years. And it's not too long of a wait for your order to arrive!

Quality is important for sure and it can be a gamble in this fashion. I'd gladly pay a little more for items that will last a long time 🌟
