What’s even more disheartening is that her behavior reflects the unspoken tensions in many communities, where outward politeness masks deep-seated biases. But in the end, it’s great to see the neighborhood coming together and Mrs. Thompson having to face the reality of her actions. This story shows that no matter how hard some people try to hold on to the past, change is inevitable, and it’s about time!
This black nurse has had to face many patients who did not want a black nurse. Because of their emergency, they did allow me to take care of them. Weeks after , those very same patients and their families came back to thank me for taking such good care of them. Some wanted to give me presents as a thank you. We were not allowed to take gifts from our patients, but I would never have taken gifts anyway. Seeing a patient who had gotten well was a gift in itself.
There was no reason to check his boarding pass the sevond time. The flight attendant should have called the captain. The ignorant lady should have been put back by the rest room
Lillian, if you feel the need to discriminate against a United States Army Serviceman and nearly prevent him from being in First Class, then maybe you deserve to sit in business class or coach if it makes you uncomfortable to be anywhere near law-abiding citizens based solely on the color of his skin.
This is disgusting, Lillian! Who are u to deny a soldier a first class ride! David held his head high more than I can say about you, Lillian. How about you being asked to change sears from First Class to a lesser seat!!!! Please ask for David forgiveness 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Rosemarie OBrien PS: So sorry , David, u were so cruelly treated!!!💕😊👏🙏💟
There's forgiveness needed in this world. Needed right away 🎉 Our God in heaven would be very pleased. These films are needed for a healthy world to come. Thanks again for this media. Keep up the great and Good Works.
Filipinos coming from an archipelago of over 1,700 islands have a history of immigration, irs population is completely mixed race : Malay, Chinese, Hindu, aboriginal, oceanic, caucasian, Mediterranean middle eastern, ameri-indian, Jewish. I think the unlikely mix is only slav, and swedish Norwegian. This diversity explains why Filipinos are very unlikely to be racist. There is also the fact that Filipinos have never developed dominance in civilization, business, military or moral spiritual-intellectual fields, thus they never for a moment in world history could prove that being filipino has lead to forging leadership. Filipino impact in the world is resilience, industry in service as caregivers, doctors, nurses, teachers, and most importantly catholic spiritual strength.
Thank you for service mr military David you did a good job for being so patience in that situation i have a son in the military too again good job bro david i salute you
This story is not affecting us so much because we are of the same color, we only differ in our economic status though biases and descrimination still prevails but not so strong because Filipinos are very accomodating and hospitable people, rarely we come to the point of provocation and aggression. We have a high value of respect to foreigners or tourists coming to our county. I like very much the story. Thank you and more power!
I share these videos with a fellow seminary student. We grew up in the Mississippi River delta of Tennessee/Arkansas. He opened his pulpit to me in Memphis. As the only fair-skinned person present i preached on racism and the necessity and possibility for indivuduals to change.
This is definitely one of the best stories. What makes it so good is Lillian did make some bad mistakes, but she learned from them, made amends, and is now a better person. Sometimes it takes a humbling experience to show us our faults. Most of the other stories I've seen end up where the person in the wrong doesn't get a second chance to redeem themselves, so this is why I like Lillian redeeming herself.
My gosh, don't people know that GOD created all of us in HIS image and despite our differences, ee are all HIS children. HE wants us to love one another despite our differences and to take care of each other. And don't forget the least of these.
A powerful testimony of good and evil, truth and falsehood, and light and darkness. There's always a victory in truth/light over falsehood/darkness. Enjoyed and much encouraged. Nbbabai, PNG😊
This powerful piece resonates with me. It describes the emotional harm inflicted on a Latino priest by privileged bishops. It also sheds light on the disturbing experiences of a chaplain, making me wonder about the hidden horrors within leadership. As we heal and move forward, we can take comfort in knowing that those responsible will have to face the consequences of their actions. Thank you for sharing this insightful video. Semper Fidelis.
The man should have asked the flight attendant to move the woman. The flight attendant should have asked to see the woman’s ticket, then moved the woman or better yet should have had the woman removed from the plane. Very good story with a nice turn of events, but the story way too long.
Poughkeepsie NY watching This man sever's for are freedom He's should Ben entitled To good ride home for all he done relaxing I be with my family my wife my daughter Whom I haven seen in so long how tall is she how much she achieved with out me there wow can't wate until tell every thing my wife for are love is no more phone call is going live for reality Oh my God thank God bless me so much 🙏🏿 ❤️ you given me
I am a white male I didn’t have a easy life I only had my MOM in there than my sisters and brothers I live in some of the hardest places in TAMPA FLORIDA my family was in the hood you try being white in side of a all black community it’s not easy but my family had no choice but to live there at 13 years old I stopped going to school so I can help my MOM to pay the bills I was working over 50-60 hours a week and I gave all of the money I got from working but I didn’t care because it made sure that my MOM would not lose my brother and sister & me from her again there was times that we did not have power but we had a place to live
You stepped up. I hope your brother and sister appreciate your sacrifice, but more importantly, the love and compassion of your actions deserve to be applauded. GOD bless you brother.
Again this is America the country that won’t grow up. What’s so wrong with letting racism go? I believe where is a segment in this country that doesn’t want to let it go because there afraid of its painful pass . See this is how I know this country knows right from wrong.
I can see exactly what’s gonna go on here. I’m gonna cry I’m not the best health that will be corrected but I see the bullshit. I’m just not sure if I can listen to it and it just upsets me so much.
first too much unnecessary information it did not matter what he saw and felt in the airport it mattered what happened on the plane if I had been on the plane I would have said to her "do you own this plane if not then sit down and be quiet.
Again! Disgusting manners on Lillian part! My hat is off to David🎉❤😊 who managed to remain his calm! No wonder he is a decorated soldier!!!🎉. Rosemarie

If it were me l would be less patient. That's the truth. Probably cry too because l would feel so hurt. Because am black l can't afford good things for myself or my loved ones. Its a shame.
This is such a refreshing healing story. We need this so much!

There are so many people, on this planet, who think the way the woman does, in this story. Sad huh!
I am watching from Greece..Keep up the good fight for justice. Thank you
And she was more concerned about her feelings. I think a person like her would never change.
Amazing story of racism which punished a arrogant woman and rewarded a humble black soldier.
I would feel so proud sitting next to him in the first class
It sure makes me sad to find arrogant people, but this world has everything and we can’t do anything about that.
There was no reason to check his boarding pass the sevond time. The flight attendant should have called the captain. The ignorant lady should have been put back by the rest room
This action should never be expected as I thought people had moved on this man was enlighten all this total respect to this man
Lillian, if you feel the need to discriminate against a United States Army Serviceman and nearly prevent him from being in First Class, then maybe you deserve to sit in business class or coach if it makes you uncomfortable to be anywhere near law-abiding citizens based solely on the color of his skin.
In the toilet............
Here in the 'philiiphines there's no racial discremination we have equality of rights
It should be everywhere like that but sadly it isn’t.

First I think that it’s fiction. But a passenger challenging his right to a first class seat? The staff needs to tell her to sit down and shut up.
Hi! I am from Pune, India 🇮🇳 .A very nice story, Thankyou 🎉❤

It’s sad to say our own race does the same to us but, I’m glad this had changed something.
Good story. I hope it was real.

There are several versions of this story. Usually involving a black military person, sometimes female, and a white racist.

It could have been more concise. But had a good point. We are all aware but people refuse to let it go. Its still alive & well. Give it up guys.
