I think it was another 'wake up' call for the Jews to recognize that they could have the Kingdom, right now. However, it was put on 'hold' so to speak.

I don't think the kingdom was delayed. The disciples asked if Jesus would restore the kingdom to Israel at this time and He responded by telling they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. This was fulfilled a few weeks later at Pentecost. From this text and many others it is apparent that the kingdom is God reigning through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, 'My kingdom is not of this world...' Just my opinion, so I wouldn't take my word.

Can the word "epi" be translated as "against"? The KJV uses the phrase is "come unto you", but Blue Letter Bible shows a meaning could be "against" which would render the text "the kingdom of God has come AGAINST you".

Agreed, I think “against” makes more sense in this context, and it fits grammatically with the accusative form of you(plural). 🙏🏻

@@mj23chai_Mary_Ben_Eliezer23 In context of the passage, Jesus is proclaiming the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan; if you are not with Me, you are against Me; O generation of vipers; an evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign..... All leads me to the conclusion that the Kingdom of God has come against you..... Battle lines are drawn and the enemy is identified. This is why they are continually seeking to destroy Him and put Him to death.
