Should make a rule to make it a minimum of 1 or 3 or 5 cards for each of the sets so you fant just ignore TGT or RR sets fun video!
I very much agree with this, make it at least three. That way we don't just have "standard deck X from this set" like cubelock. Make them have to think about squeezing out value from lower power sets too.
It'll just be cube lock but with 5 dead draws in the deck lol

@@johannes7159 I played handmade deck for like the first three weeks like always, when for some unknown reason a mix of cubelock and jade shaman took me almost to diamond; then I realized I got a chance and I went down with a modified version (with less epics and some personal choices) of tempostorm even shaman.
The meta was very diverse until diamond 2, when it was mostly mirror matches (I won them all!), Big priest (I lost them all!), Questline druid (that I almost won every time), few Shadderwock and some pirate rogues.
@@Rarran You did the same to me but I play standard, got legend, then started queue sniping Thijs a bit lol. Not stream sniping, just queue, so I closed the stream after I got him as to not to cheat.

I think the format is a cool idea! I wish Hearthstone had formats like these--modes that force players to think differently from how they ordinarily would play. I think this format would be fun with Reynad.
Yeah but there are a lot of expansions that Reynad doesn't know anything about, so it would be a bit unfair for him and really hard overall. Would require a lot of time for him to build his deck.
If only there was a mode that had unique game changing rules that changed on a consistent basis, It's a shame that there is no mode like that.
I really enjoy seeing both my favourite hearthstone streamers play together, more collabs would be great :)

I think the highest winrate play in the entire Hearthstone was turn 1 Small-Time Buccaneer into Patches, but the second if I'm not mistaken was during Rise of Shadows turn 2 coin Evil Miscreant....
Void Lord was Kobolds & Catacombs. The reason I remember is because his flavor was like a traditional D&D style mini-boss that becomes multiple smaller versions of itself when it dies.

On the side note, thanks Rarran for reintroducing me to HS, after all these years it turned out I hate myself enough to hit legendary rank in two modes in one season for the first time! All it took was a brutal, rage inducing marathon of grind that ended with swearing a solemn oath not to touch this godforsaken game again! BUT to be fair, to get to legend was an old, stupid goal of mine from highschool times. Watching hs is endlessly more fun though, so thanks for the content.

You should open a The Grand Tournament pack and have to use card from only the expansions you get in the pack
Maybe you could do it like a point system? so like bad expansions are worth like 1-2 points and then expansions with really good cards are like 5 or even 6 points and there's a cap of 10-15 points.
e.g. Scholomance is 6 points so I can only take either 1/2 bad expansions with it. so my deck would be scholomance cards with goblins and gnomes cards.
ofc this can also be done with the pack opening idea but would probs require you to open a few more packs to compensate.
Not sure if this would work/ be too complicated but just an idea :).

@@manchovieclemmons2380 I just watched it. They showed what sets each of them got. Maybe you misunderstand what they did here? They only opened the packs to see what sets they can use, and then they used cards from their entire collection, limited to only those sets.

I know it's been 6 months, but what if you could only use the card rarity of the card you got too?
So you would have only been able to use common cards from Rise, GVG, Classic, and Scholomance, and only the rares from Classic.
He would have only been able to use the Grand Tournament Epics, and Commons from Core, Kobalds, and Lich King.
Would definitely add in some deck building limitations.
If you need more cards, just open 2 packs instead.

May I make a suggestion for this idea? When you pull a card from a pack, a deck must contain the maximum amount of copies of at least one of the cards from the pack, and this is done with a different card per deck, with the exception of perhaps if you get two cards from the same class. It’d make it so you have to find a way to “use what you draft”, if that makes sense. Otherwise, great video!

I literally cannot think of a single card name from that expansion, just that Inspire is terrible apart from that one aggro DH uses as a second Battlefiend sometimes

2:44 In the old days they'd tell you that Shredder always goes in the middle, just in case you get the Flametongue Totem out of it. The odds of that happening now are so small, but not sure if there's a good reason not to do it anyway.

You may want to consider adding a few more rule to make it more fair and fun to play for the content creators ( and thus fun to watch for us ). Not too many so I won't go crazy with suggestions.
I have two main ideas 1) mandatory number of cards from each set you chose in every deck ( Around 3 feels good to me ? 10% of the deck ) So we at least see cards from every pull.
2) Instead of opening only one pack, open 2 or 3 packs and choose a certain number of sets from the pulls ( 4 sets feels fine ? ). That would prevent the handiap of drawing duplicate sets. Also adds more choices and opportunities for the players to express themselves
Idk if it's pertinent I'm just throwing ideas out there. Do whatever, I'll watch the vids anyway.

I am so glad i suggested this in the discord. this was way more fun than I was exspecting, please make this a series and dont keep to just hearthstone players. I could see it being a very good way of showing people who dont play hearthstone old cards mixed with new cards while having a chance of making decks based on their knowledge of cardgames. also invite some of the devs because that would be fun.

Your videos aiming to complete heroic solo adventures with current standard decks inspired me to see if I could do it with Whizbang. Just finished doing Naxx without too much difficulty- other than patchwork anyways, that was a nightmare. Big recommend trying it
It was entertaining. Always love to see Roffle on the channel and revisiting some older archetypes felt really nice. The misplays were brilliant for content, seeing Rexxar is always a win and Cubelock might just be one of my all time favorite decks.
