I also recently noticed that it has a functional ball joint at the ankle. It's only really noticeable in cutscenes if she's standing in a certain way though.
I looove how you add little bits of lore for your Rook throughout the playthrough. It's endearing how much you care for your characters and their stories 💜
Considering the excessively toxic criticism this game gets, that's a brave thing to say. And you have my respect for that!👍 I actually like Veilguard as well. I also loved Jade Empire despite how underappreciated it was, for venturing into new territory. Nothing creative about a video game until you take a gamble and try creating something different. It takes real guts to truly TRY and be creative.
I enjoy it for what it is. It’s a beautiful game with fun combat. But this isn’t a dragon age game let alone an rpg. Your choices don’t matter, even though you really don’t have any. The writing is bad, like a 4th grader wrote it. The game talks down to the players as if the devs think we are dumb. You can’t be evil or an A hole, only good or goofy good. No role playing allowed. Taash hands down is the worst character ever in a dragon age game. Or any game in general. She’s clearly one of the devs projecting their delusional life on everyone else. I can go on and on. There’s a reason why this game has gotten so much hate and for very good and legit reasons. I’ve beaten this game and got every achievement for it. It can be a fun game if you turn your brain off, have no expectations and treat this as a non rpg. But this game is blatantly obvious a propaganda, and ikr pushing agenda game. They wanted to push delusion instead of making a good game.
@@DevicCypherUnfortunately, it has become sad that many people simply look for negative thoughts instead of good ones. I've played all the DA games and had a amazing time with Veilguard. I have no idea why people always have to be negative on the whole game, when they don't like just one character. For example, Mass Effect. There were characters like Jacob or James that nobody really liked but it didn't make the game bad. I think the choises for Veilguard was okay and I particularly liked my Rook as a character. Also the whole end was epic~
@@andrewneilan4234 the hater voices are always so loud..People who actually play it and love it should also share they opinion. Its really important these days~
I have just finished my play through and was looking for a positive one to watch! I love your videos and your attention to lore and the characters! Really looking forward to following your journey! Oh, you also probably do know Vipers voice, that’s the Matt Mercer himself. 👀
Maevaris is a really cool character in the comics/books. I was so excited to see her here. She is like Dorian’s bestie, we actually saw a pic of her standing with him in his part of the epilogue in Trespasser. She also knows people like Alistair, Isabela and Varric (she was married to his cousin) and was Bioware’s first canon trans character, even before Krem!
just a small tip ... when you are in the Spellblade mode (the melee version) and you hit the enemy with your light attack three times, it says "Arcane Bomb" on their head, hit them with a normal Heavy... it deals a lot of damage..... and you can amplify it more if you go for Spellblade Specialization.....
Go happy to see Maevaris in a game. Shes a cool characters from the comics and is mentioned a couple times in Inquisition. She is also implied to be trans, but youd never really know based off of her character model. I'm glad the devs didnt make it obvious, like giving her overly masculan features or a deep voice.
I think they originally planned that you'd need to bring different companions to use their abilities, but realised it'd be irritating, or some areas aren't accessible again after one quest. It's a weird fix that they use the ability through the dagger, especially some of the abilities by companions you haven't recruited yet
It’s so crazy, Minrathous is EXACTLY how I imagined it in my head from when it was first mentioned in the series! Everything from its heavily oppressed street life to its gothic aesthetic. Definitely one of the most gorgeous and interesting environments BioWare have done Also I’m not sure if you may agree with me on this but I get extremely weird vibes of neve. Almost like she’s really guarded and hesitant to open up to rook, that could be due to the nature of her job perhaps. Even still she’s a very interesting character, she actually reminds me a lot of Miranda from mass effect
On your other dragon age veilguard video part 6 you collect solas memories wolf statue go to the light house and put wolf statue on the wall because it will show you solas more memories on wall and it explains it
Great video Jess. Also, sorry if this is a littler earlier but I may forget to say it so happy thanksgiving! One more thing, when are you going back to playing the AC franchise? I really want to see you finish Ac3 story and get your thoughts on it. I also would like to see you play AC4 Black Flag. I think you would really enjoy the story for that one. Anyway, keep being awesome and see you in the next video.
I will get back to it! I'm just focusing on newer games so I can make sure I'm finishing it, I wanted to play AC whenever there was nothing new happening. LIS is almost done so I'll have AC3 back after that
Interesting fact: Neve has a prosthetic leg. You can literally hear it clank as she moves with the party. I just think it’s really neat.
I also recently noticed that it has a functional ball joint at the ankle. It's only really noticeable in cutscenes if she's standing in a certain way though.
And she has another wooden prosthetic in her room. It’s just for display though
@@debishvebishwish4839 Maybe it's either her original one or a prototype? After all, the Inquisitor had a wooden prosthetic hand...
@@TheGohanSkywalker maybe she will only use it for fancy parties.
Or it’s a gift but it doesn’t really fit her but she still keeps it anyway
Omg I wasn't paying attention to the sound but yeah that's honestly such a cool detail they added!
I looove how you add little bits of lore for your Rook throughout the playthrough. It's endearing how much you care for your characters and their stories 💜
Glad you enjoy it! I feel like it's more fun so I can get more immersed in the story 🥰
I really love the Veilguard. And I'm really like the team, especially Neve. She such a beautiful and cute character ♡

I found Neve so funny. She absolutely hates Solas and she even hates the Lighthouse.
I get that sense too. Maybe not in a "I'm gonna betray you" way but more like she messed up in the past and it's gonna bite us later
I can’t wait till she reacts to the ending. So good!
