My problem: when in a group message I have to go into each individuals name, then hit download before it appears in the group

@@GigaKerbal Hi there! To start I got a new phone, a Samsung Galaxy A14 Android, thinking it might fix the problem bit it didn't so I had the sales person check it out before I even left the store. He figured out that I needed to get rid of the message app that came with the phone and download another. As soon as he did, everything works just fine! Something about the phone runs on Google system but the Google msg. app that comes with the pine is incompatible. I hope this makes sense. Good luck! Let me know how you make out!

I am using google messages app and whenever I create a group text, and a few minutes later I need to add someone else to it, it creates another group instead of going to the original group. How can I fix this? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Flip 4. OMG this so frustrating to me.... Help! Help! Help!
If you "clear the apps data" won't that delete all my text messages?

My issue for 4 years with an S10, and now a brand new S23 ultra thingy. If myself and the others in a group chat text too many times it stops sending my texts, and I don't receive any texts in the group for an hour or two. 2 phones and nearly 5 years and it keeps happening. I'm with Verizon if that helps. I'm so tired of this...
Having the same issue, also with Verizon on an S22.
Me too. I have verizon and just upgraded to and s23 ultra and upgraded my plan as well (thinking that would help) and it still doesn't send or receive messages in group chats OR PICTURES in general when using the stock app and Google messages. I've tired both and nothing works. Eventually it says "failed" after spinning around for a minute or so and I try to send over and over but I just have to wait until it feels like sending.

none of these work. the problem fixes itself after about a half hour usually. people think things work because it works eventually. but if you do nothing. it will start working again. I think when you receive multiple texts quickly from iPhone users, it bugs out the SMS messaging system.

Yep, this is no help at all. These steps are the obvious first steps anyone would take.
Thing is I'm in a group chat with 2 android users and one who uses apple and it STILL does it

Update, there was something going on with the DNS. I messed with that a little bit and I got it to work
@@poolman8676 what did you change
@@user-ee6qp2qd8n go to settings and then type in DNS. A menu will come up and put that back and forth and see what happens. That fixed my problem at least
