It's great to see Richie Wolfe bowl again. I haven't seen this guy in quite a few years since back when he used to bowl at Bowl America in Falls Church (where I have bowled for the last 12 years) and Bowl America Fairfax. I actually forgot how good he is. Thanks for uploading this.
Irishpogi , thanks for these videos ... too bad we don't get these telecasts in the Philippines ... the bowling community here is big and I don't get the idea why the PBA folks are more interested with money than be good ambassadors of the game ... I hope they never tell you to stop ... Maraming salamat!
have you ever watched any of wolfe's older matches? he can get plenty of hook or power if he wants to, but this pattern demands utmost accuracy, so he probably sacrificed a little in both departments today.
Examples are pre-reactive-resin vids of Pete Weber when he had huge sideroll of 90 degrees and about 14 revs vs. someone like Bob Vespi who got like 23 revs but little sideroll. When I hear, "He has turn/tilt/sideroll but no revs," or vice-versa, I think of examples like that. You can't have sideturn/sideroll without revs, but it's a lingo thing that is describing two different things. When I hear, "no revs," there are technically revs, just not a lot.
Any time the ball is spinning it's "revs," but "revs" and "sideroll" have two different meanings. You can have 20 revs but not much sideroll, and you can have 10 revs and lots of sideroll.
i get what you're saying for sure....but with todays game.....most peoples track flare is on the side of the ball...meaning that yes they've got some side tilt to the ball but they're still putting "torque" on the ball to give it revs..like when you look at CATS stats....no matter how the ball is rolling on it's axis...it's still being counted as revs. the only other way i could think of to get revs and minimal sideroll is if you're a full roller.
big deal dude. hes making shows left and right. hes obviously doing something right. your not up there so why does it matter? you ever get there ill bow down to you.
side roll is not revs?! dude. are you serious? you must not bowl. anytime the ball is spinning it's "revs". so you're telling me that robert smith, mike wolf, chris barnes, bill oneil, wes malott and so on don't have any "revs" on their balls?! hahaha.....the only time you don't have revs is when you throw straight with a conventional grip style.

You're referring to the 2005 PBA world open match against Chris Loschetter? It was recently added by ilovesteeleydan i believe.

Ziggity,
No one approached me and asked me to stop uploading. Until that happens, it will be business as usual in Staten Island, NY.
