I know they for sure sampled it, it seemed a faster tempo how I remember it, and the owner of the roller rink I used to go to told me it was on a “freestyle megamix “ CD. I’ve looked up as many key words as I could think of but haven’t had any luck. Any possible leads appreciated. It was my favorite song to jam skate to back in the day.
I think Planet Rock was straight lifted off Kraftwerk. Used the beat sequence of Numbers with the melody of Trans Europe Express. Shocked Arthur Baker didn't get sued.
He was influenced by Kraftwerk like many, but he brought it forth his own way with a unique seductive voice, awesome beats, with versatile turntable skills.
