      was a Blazer fan of that era.. The Glide was right, Portland blew game 6. If they hadnt of choked against the Lakers in 91 they would have had homecourt advantage that year against the Bulls. One of those might of been moments.

      @@lchris6997 I don't doubt that at all about Drexler, but I think Wade is statistically said to be the greatest SG in nba history... according to his combined defensive stats, steals, blocks, defensive win shares or whatever. But to be fair, I don't think the margin is that wide between him & Wade defensively. I would have to check again... Wade, Drexler, MJ, Kobe, and Jerry West are the 5 greatest defensive 2 guards overall though. I'm fairly certain of this.

    Drexler was that good that he was even compared with MJ during that era. Not saying that he was better but his name was on the table for sure as a great competitor of MJ

    Clyde was great and thank God he played the same position as MJ, otherwise, the Bulls not have been able to draft him (it wasn’t just because the Blazers needed a center). I was at Game 1 and Game 6 in 1992 and that comeback by the Bulls was something else. I also left too early after the win as teams did not come back out on the floor until that year. I was worried about traffic (the neighborhood was not great) so I bailed about one minute or less before the team came back out. 😢

    The REASON Penny and Shaq didnt become a Dynasty is 100% on the Orlando Ownership for Not wanting ro pay Shaq and playing hardball during his Free Agency and even letting him hit free agency.

    Shaq didn’t get along with Penny. Shaq didn’t get along with Kobe. Shaq is the most dominant player I’ve ever seen by far. But if he wasn’t so egotistical when he was younger he could have 2-3 more rings and be in the GOAT conversation.
    On another note, Clyde in his prime was the closest thing to Jordan in their era. Frfr Clyde could do it all. Glide, shoot, dunk, and defend. Glad the Phi Slamma Jamma could reunite and get a ring.

    The Magic was maybe even more talented than the Rockets but they were young, immature, couldn't recover from the lost, not tough mentally. If they had a few more years, maybe trade Nick Anderson for another reliable 2 way wing, they would've dominated the East after MJ retired again.

    I wouldn’t retire his number in Orlando either. He never kept his word. He threatened to leave at the first opportunity if they didn’t draft Penny like he wanted. Still ran out after agreeing to contract terms but backed out when Zo signed for more. SMH.

    Shaq was a 3rd year player at only 22 years old a nothing to peak 2000 Shaq and Penny was a 2nd year player at only 23. Nick Anderson is a disgrace how he costed the Magic game 1. Orlando up by 3 with 11 secs to go Nick misses both foul shots gets his own rebound and fouled again. With 9 secs to go up 3 Nick misses another 2 foul shots I never saw anything like it. Kenny the Jet comes down and ties it with a 3 and the rest was history

      95 was Shaq's 2nd highest postseason TS% overall while 96 (also Magic era) was his 3rd highest 🙄.
      How about just admitting the real reason the Rockets won, they were a more versatile team compared to the Magic. Shaq only played 1 style of offense which was post up and take a shot when he got in the paint area, all the Rockets had to do most of the game was double team him and make him give it up. Horry also won the PF matchup outscoring Grant by a sizable margin, you always overlook that one.

Avg in regular season 30-14-4-3, playoffs avi 31-16-3-3 and 38-17-3-3 in the finals. Shaq forced the league in 2002 to bring back zone defense and implement Def 3secs all to slow down the big fella.       @ Hakeem was a bum in the 80’s struggling with Vlade in 1990 and 1991 playoffs like a bum. He got into his peak from 1992-96. Shaq was a bum in the 90’s he got into his peak early 2000’s that’s how it works. LeBron was 22 going to the finals that means nothing his peak was in the 2010’s and so and so forth

      Game 1: Hakeem avg 31-6-7-2-4 on 50%
      Game 2: Shaq avg 33-12-7 on 55%
      Game 2: Hakeem avg 34-11-2-4 on a lousy 46%
      Game 3: Shaq 28-10-6-1-3 on 65%
      Game 3: 31-14-7-2 on a lousy 46%.
      Game 4: Magic we’re already on vacation so Hakeem wins that game. That’s what separate the stats some between them.
      For the series each avg 43mins a game with Shaq being doubled 78% of the series and Hakeem being doubled 68% of the time. Now let me drop peak 2000 Shaq into that finals. Rockets we’re nothing you played bum kids who cares
