Gwozdziec Re!construction - replica roof of the synagogue installed at the Museum!

April 13th 2013, the replica roof a 17th century synagogue was installed at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. It is the first element of the Museum's Core Exhibition.
10 years of work, 400 volunteers and experts from around the world, a unique wooden structure, and hundreds of motifs painted by hand using original 17th century materials and techniques -- these are just some of the extraordinary features of the Gwoździec Re!construction project.

.My mother was born in Gwozdziec . Her parents Meir and Channa Mandler had six children All of them were killed by the Nazis . The only survivor was my mother Rosa . This film about a beautiful synagogue being built in this little place warms my heart and soul
