ASMR Gaming Whisper: Wandering in Skyrim - Part XI
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 янв 2025
- As the sun slips slowly towards the horizon, we continue our whispered wander, passing from the verdant forests of Falkreath Hold into the rugged valleys of The Reach. Drink in the majestic sights and sounds at the headwaters of the mighty river Karth as the aurorae dance and the stars wheel overhead.

Yes! I've been waiting to see the Fall Forests; there's just something about all those autumn trees... Hands down my favorite place in Skyrim.
That's the Rift; we're going to the Reach. Other side of Skyrim, sorry to disappoint :P. But I agree, the Rift is gorgeous. We go there in Parts 2, 3, and 4 of the wander :)
Man if I had a place like that to go at the end of a day in RL I'd be the happiest man in the world.
But alas, you can go there in real life, well mentally at least, to go there think of the place next time you are in a lucid dream(ing) state, just imagine this place & you will be there mentally, in a dream, & it shall feel real, therefore it will be real because it's your mind that's experiencing this
Soooo amazing! Thank you, dovahkiin :D
My pleasure, glad you liked it! Any chance we'll ever see a Skyrim whisper from you?
Yeah, I'd love to do one! I want to do a whispered let's play but it'd have to be on my bf's computer because he has it for pc, I just have it for xbox.
JubileeWhispers If you ever need help with commands or settings for doing a peaceful wander, or mods for that matter, don't hesitate to ask :)
These videos get me to sleep every time. Beautiful music and scenery, mixed with super relaxing voice. Terrific X
Thanks, glad you like them!
Wow! This one was amazing! I wish I could have been standing under that night sky in real life. So beautiful.
I'm so glad you made these videos man, what a great idea!
Really makes you appreciate Skyrim... they really made an amazing world; immersive and beautiful...
+locinf92 Absolutely, Skyrim's world is so detailed and atmospheric. It's really nice to just take it slow and smell the mountain flowers :)
+Dark Squid Well the original graphics are amazing but this is enhanced using mods.
Skyrim is one of my all time favorite games. This is such a wonderful video. Thank you. Subscribed :)
Really glad you liked it! Skyrim is one of my favorite games too, and I have a lot of fun making this series. Hope you enjoy the rest of it too. Thanks for watching and subscribing :)
When you say 'our bellies are full' all I can think of is Alduin when he says 'My belly is full of your fellow mortals'
Greg E. He never said that
"a deep baritone voice" nice touch, Nick. Love this series and your work!
The gorgeous visuals, the ambient sounds of the wild, the smooth camera pans, the whispers...the tingles!
Greetings from Savngarde, as I have died and am now in paradise. :P
Aww man, I killed him...but Sovngarde sounds pretty good ;)
Skyrim is so good you can use it for ASMR.
Please continue this series . It's my absolute Favorite asmr videos and I watch these every night.
This game can be so relaxing! 😊
this is amazing. subscribed. great effort and great passion.
Absolutely an amazing journey you take us through.. Thank so much..
It's my pleasure, I think I'm enjoying the journey just as much as you guys are :)
I cry knowing my console Skyrim will never look or feel this beautiful. Love this series, man.
Sorry to say you're right, but on the upside, Skyrim for PC is cheap if you get it on a Steam sale!
This is my new favourite thing! I love asmr videos and I love Skyrim (I'd live there if I could).
Listen oh listen to the asmrnerd,
His stories, his tales,
Are treasured gold,
We cherish, we cherish his calming role,
oh listen oh listen to the asmrnerd.
He walked through the path of hunter's cove,
past the darkness of dungeons of old,
With a mighty peaceful wandering
to all skyrim's folk,
oh listen oh listen to the asmrnerd.
With a peaceful tone,
that soothes the bones,
the hero of sleep,
the asmrnerd.
For peace and sleep he wanders for,
The calm, the soothing, the asmrnerd,
through the bandit's camps
and Storm Cloak homes.
Oh listen, oh listen to the asmrnerd,
With a sleep luring voice
while he wanders through Skyrim old.
Oh listen oh listen to the asmrnerd,
Sleep and calm that soothes the young and old,
for he, for he, is the asmrnerd.
Oh listen oh listen to the asmrnerd.
That, sir, is an epic worthy of the greatest bards in Skyrim's storied history! Surely you must have studied long at Solitude's famed college to compose such a masterpiece?
But of course spent two years there, then I left due to the unpopular glares I received from the citizens of solitude. Ever been up there on your wanders oh mighty adventurer? Pretty chilly up there in the far north but nothing you can't handle for you are,
_The great Asmrnerd._
The citizens of Solitude are clearly uncultured milk-drinkers who couldn't recognize good poetry if it shot them in the knee. I haven't wandered up that way yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if we find ourselves in Solitude in the not-so-distant future...
The greatness of the Asmrnerd keeps getting greater.
Made me fall asleep last night
And now made my day with that statement today.
_The greatly great Asmrnerd_
Tell ya what I'll try to write a piece of poetry for every wander you do after this one because you are the great adventurer of Skyrim.
Drew dal those should become the video descriptions
Fun fact: Nirn is actually the planet of Elder Scrolls, Tamriel is a continent on Nirn.
Awesome video, your video game wanderings are always a treat to watch. Keep up the great work.
Not exactly sure which part you're referring to, but I assume I said something like "the world of Tamriel". You're absolutely correct, Tamriel is the continent, Nirn is the world, Mundus is the plane, etc. I probably just wasn't thinking when I said whatever I said :P. Glad you enjoyed the video nonetheless!
***** I remember watching someone's game play of ESO, and I'm almost positive the game (an npc involving a mission) mentioning the world as Earth.. but it's Nirn.
+iNuja6es I've heard npc's in skyrim call nirn earth even though it's called nirn. It's pretty wierd
I imagine they are talking about the earth as in the rock and soil and mud.
Oh my god I was on a playlist of Asmr and right before this video a fast and the furious ad played and guess what it started with? . . . An EXPLOSION!!
Simply glorious.
Visually superb! The amount of time it must have taken to get all those mods downloaded and functioning must have been quite a lot. Dedication indeed. Thanks for the video. I love these wanders.
It takes some time, but Nexus mod manager really simplifies things, and I actually quite enjoy the process of making the game look just the way I want. I started modding my TES games with Morrowind, back in the dark days of archive invalidation, arcane load order tweaks, and extracting .zip files directly to the data directory, overwriting files with wild abandon. Compared to that, modding Skyrim seems pretty tame :P
Another perfect video! Its awesome. I have fun everytime trying to see how far I can get into the video before I fall asleep
Thanks for the kind words! Let me know if you ever make it through to the end ;)
This is ASMR heaven! Perfection!
LeaLooDallas Lots more Skyrim ASMR where this came from :)
You should do a video on the snow region near winter hold
One of the best asmr-channel! From Russia with fus ro dah!
That means a lot to me, thank you! May you be blessed by Talos :)
Excuse my language, but... holy fuck, this was incredible! I got ASMR and frisson at the same time! :D And the game is so beautiful! I don't want to play my PS3 version anymore. I wonder if you could show us a dragon next time! ;) Thanks for that amazing series!
I didn't even know that was possible, but I'm glad it happened! Sorry to have ruined the PS3 version for you D:. Show a dragon next time eh? Dragons tend to be loud and roar-y, but I'll see what I can do ;)
Not sure if I remember correctly, but aren't there dragons that don't attack you until you attack them? So you could just observe it! ;)
I use console commands to make it so that enemies can't detect me, so that's not a problem. It's mostly an issue of finding a dragon on the ground rather than swooping around in the sky. Gonna have to do some location scouting :)
***** If you look just below Riften there is a dragon spawn there :D
Wander in Sovngarde!!
I just stumbled upon these videos you made; WOW! One of the things I've always appreciated about playing Skyrim is the vast and unadulterated beauty of the landscape; but often found it annoying when I am simply trying to meander through (or even just stand in one spot) and take in the sights, only to get attacked by a mud-crab or some vagabond runs up on me and wants to talk or fight. So I must ask (as I don't have mods and have never read up on them), how do you manage to just walk right past pacing bears, patrolling orcs, or simply not startle a grazing elk? And did you use a mod on the sky at the end of Part XI to accentuate the aurora borealis? I don't recall seeing the aurora quite that vividly (though my PS3 has been on the blink for the past several months and I haven't even played Skyrim in a bit). Thank you for taking the time to create these videos. I find them very enjoyable and relaxing, and your monologue is at times enlightening (I've learned a few things I didn't know before) and at times entertaining; and at times rather amusing. I hope you know how much your work is appreciated, my friend! I don't know if you are still working on more of these, but I hope so.
The aurora was due to mods and the console can be used to disable NPC detection.
What's the mod called yo!?
Keep killin it man 👍👍
Awesome video! Could you please tell me what is the name of the track at 17:45. It sounds sooo soothing, I would love to know. Thanks!
yesssssss. this is just what I needed today.
:)
As long as you keep wandering, the rest of us will keep sleeping.
Well then look forward to good sleeps, because the wandering isn't going to stop :)
First the elder scrolls online video, and now this? Well gee looks like I've died and gone to ASMR heaven.
*ASMR Sovngarde ;)
hey Nick, loved the video! just at a curiosity what do you do for a living? if you don't mind sharing :) love the videos keep up the great work!
Glad you liked it! My degree says I'm a biologist, but that's pretty broad. Right now my work involves research into landscape ecology, carbon cycling, and forest fire dynamics.
That's awesome! I got into biology because of a really inspiring science teacher I had in high school. If you like science, take all the science classes you can. You're already taking biology, which is great! If your school offers them, also take classes like chemistry, physics, and geography, and see what you like. If you do go on to study science at university or college, having some experience in those subjects will be very helpful. You've got plenty of time to try things out and figure out what you enjoy doing :). If you have more questions, ask away!
***** This video is great, and this little conversation is the best thing I've seen on the internet, maybe ever.
First, have to say, i'm LOVING this series! Puts me to sleep at my desk every time :)
With all these mods, how many fps can you pull off, on average, without recording?
Also, my specs are more than capable of running Skyrim, but I was looking to mod it to this degree. Do you think i could pull it off with:
FX-6300 6-core
XFX Radeon 7870GHz Edition 3gb DDR3
8gb 2133MHz 11-11-11-23(?)
Glad you're enjoying the wander so far :) My framerate is really dependent on the environment. When I'm not recording I average around 40 FPS, which I find playable. Some areas, like those around Falkreath, are more taxing due to all the foliage, and my FPS drops to around 30. Most interiors run at 60. So it's quite variable. Regarding your hardware, the FX-6300 with 8GB DDR3 will handle a heavily-modded Skyrim just fine. Your 7870 is roughly comparable in power to my 660 Ti, so it will be the bottleneck. You can expect to see similar performance to what I get. Most of the FPS hit comes from the ENB, so if you want better frames you can use a higher-performance preset, or try a different ENB that might be less taxing. I hope that answers your question!
Yes, brilliant! Thanks for your response. Looking forward to more videos in the future, especially from this series! :)
I swear to god if you dont make a new one i will...i will.....cry in the corner :(
I will hold you there These videos are awesome.
Hey ASMRnerd, tomorrow I'm ordering a PC for $799 with a GTX 960 and an i5. Do you think it could run this with the same mods as you?
+The Oshyful yes, for sure
*****
I haven't gotten Skyrim yet for the PC, but I can't wait... I feel like all I'm gonna do is just look around though xD
+The Oshyful Wait for Steam Winter Sale, it will be very cheap. Buy Legendary edition ofcourse :) And yeah, your PC will run Skyrim very well.
This is so boss.
Glad ya dig it! There's a lot more where this came from.
Which Skyrim version is the best version?
I have just the regular version, but this seems different.
This is the regular version, but with a bunch of mods, which are listed in the video description.
theASMRnerd Thanks, I'll use them for sure!
Dead Elk next to a Fox leaving the scene, something's really fishy...
Haha the thought crossed my mind, but that'd be one vicious little fox if he managed to take down a full-grown elk...
It had to be, that or maybe the elk did something to really rustle that fox's jimmies....perhaps he stole a sweetroll?
I really like your skyrim videos, one thing that sometimes is an issue for me personally, It's most likely me but the music tends to over power your voice making it kinda hard to fall asleep to sometimes, I LOVE skyrim music, but your voice and the birds chirping is much more relaxing, thanks for the great videos though.
o u r b e l l i e s a r e f u l l
When I was editing this video, that repeated line made me cringe so hard.
Are there any enemies in these because those spiders I just can't.
No enemies, arachnid or otherwise :)
Okay. I'm officially emigrating to Skyrim now. I don't care if I'm killed by some frostbite spider on the first day. It's worth it. Point.
...
...
...
I mean OMG look at that sky!!! :O
I would totally live in Skyrim. Sure, there are vicious bandits and giant spiders and killer dragons and all that, but as you point out it's flippin' gorgeous, PLUS they have magic. Gored by a mammoth? No problem, a little restoration magic will fix you up! Drowning? No problem, just down a potion of waterbreathing! Really, they've got it pretty good in Skyrim.
I'm sure you could make it work if you had to :P
*****
Right, magic is pretty awesome! But honestly I think the 'vicious bandits' and the rest aren't much of a problem considering the fact that you probably would live a rgeular life and not that of an adventurer like in the game. Of course you can, but i certainly wouldn't. Exploring dark caves and abandoned ruins...how suicidal do you have to be? :D I would probably choose the local merchant life and taking a sip in the tavern in the evening ^^ And strolling through the outskirts of the city where the guards can hve an eye on me so they can save me!
God...I'm so boring :D
Круто
I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee..
I had trouble getting sleep but not anymo..zzzzzzzz
*tiptoes away so as not to wake up Aleksitusasd*
HOLY CRAP DONNA WOAH U.....u say bad words calm down
Simply glorious.
Glad you dig it :)
