Back in the day more floaty/trippy or uplifting tracks would be played together just as fillers in a set and then dj's would just fire a few tracks in the mix that were banging and it was just trance. The big dj's still do it. An uplifting track, psy, tech trance,emotional all thrown together in 1 set-so what is the need for sub genres really if they are all played in 1 set?? and that's why i don't really agree with sub genres
