Hi Francine. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I'm sorry for what you are going through. I saw you heading for coffee at Wawa and I realized you must be in my general area. Sure enough, I see that you are in Lancaster. I went to college at Millersville. I'm currently living right outside of Doylestown. I'm a crazy cat lady, currently with 3 crazy kitties. My cats run around like nuts in the middle of the night as well. We call it the zoomies. I totally believe that animals can see things that we can't. Each cat has their own distinctive personality. No two are the same. Yours are beautiful. I have 3 black and white cats. Simon is the oldest at almost 13, we recently adopted Luna who is 9, and the one with the best personality is Wyatt, who is going to be 6. I couldn't imagine not having them around. I only wish that Simon would get along with Luna. Even though she's been here for 5 months, he still hisses at her. When we adopted Wyatt, he and Simon were best buds immediately. Go figure. Hugs, René ❤
Hi René, thanks for being here! We call it zoomies, too, but the bamboo floors just add that little extra, lol. Do you think Simon just doesn't like females? That's too bad, but as long as Wyatt likes her, then at least she isn't the odd (wo)man out. There are lots of Wawas where I'm from in NJ, 1000 stores in all, so it's funny it was Lancaster. It's definitely an interesting place. I like it :)
Hi Francine. Yes, the zoomies are great at night, especially with hardwood floors. Simon is just a very strange cat. He likes me, and no one else. I had another female cat with Simon, and she didn't put up with his crap! He just hates Luna, and it's quite frustrating. I know that there are Wawas in Jersey, but for some reason, I had a sense that you were from around here. We actually have a Wawa right across the street from our development. At first I wasn't happy about it, but it's always clean, and the people are all so nice. I too, am in a townhome. After my divorce from my 1st husband, I had to move out of the home where we raised our 2 daughters. Like you, I'm in my 2nd marriage. Life has a way of throwing us curve balls, as you unfortunately know. All my best to you. 💖@MediumMilano
Im a dog person but took on my daughter's cat Teddy when he wasnt coping with a noisy house with two young children - Luckily he gets on well with our old dog Rosie x He does that thing you mention where he will look up a wall at something when there is nothing there and he will then jump to try to get it - a bit scary when he does it at night if im alone here!
My husband and I had cats for about 35 years. Our last cat was so perfect that I don't think any cat could replace him. We frequently had dogs, too, and an assortment of small pets. Sometimes, I think cats act a little crazy so they can get the other cat to play. Reminds me of dogs when they get the "zoomies" and race all over the house or yard. I really don't think there's anything supernatural going on, but who am I to say! You don't need to talk about cancer only. Cancer takes over enough of your life as it is. 💕
Hi Francine - Cat mom and rescuer here. I have 6 cats right now but we've had 30 over 30 years of marriage. The most we had at one time was 9 and that was an utter madhouse of personalities and litter boxes! I will say that a vomiting cat is not something to ignore unless you are positive it is due to hairballs. The hairballs should be very visible. But chronic vomiting can be signs of a serious underlying problem that can be treated. It might be worth a vet trip for an easy lab test to rule out any underlying medical problem like thyroid disorders or a UTI. Vomiting led us to discover that one of our boys had abdominal Lymphoma and he needed emergency surgery to save his life. He is stable now but terminal. We have him on a good medication regimen and he's beaten his doctor's prognosis. But we know. Cats exist on an emotional plane. Their entire world is dictated by their feelings. They react to us emotionally and to their environment- seen and unseen. So you are spot on. All of our cats are currently having weepy eyes due to excessive pollen so that could be the culprit for your cat a well. A warm compress can help clean it up for him. Your cats are beautiful! Talk soon! ❤❤😻😻😻
Hiya. I too love a coffee in the morning, black, straight out of the percolator..caffeine is a daily must lol. I have a little dog but I have had cats for years. My last kitty got lost and I never found him so I swore I would no longer have a cat as the loss hurt. However, I’m on my second rescue dog as my first died of cancer. My daughter breeds cat and I’m having one of the mums as my dog is good with cats as we have lots of them in the close where I live. I can’t wait…i just love our furry friends 😊xx
🙋♀️ I’m a cat person and you aren’t describing or showing on video anything that seems worrisome about your cats. They seem fine. And you’re a great cat mom, even if you feel like you aren’t. ✌️🫶😋
I dunno, Francine. Your cats would definitely give me the heebie-jeebies. 🫣 Maybe your house is haunted. We're dog people here. Right now, we have 2 rambunctious boxer puppies (Moses and Maise) that are keeping us busy. That's not to say that I don't love cats, too. I love all animals. ❤ My daughter has a fancy cat like Gloria (Gomi) and my mom has one that looks like Gomez (Missy). Maybe animals are attuned to things around us that are impossible for us to perceive.
Hi Francine, you're cats are so darling. I was raised with both cats and dogs. Horses provided by great neighbors who always found me as a toddler roaming around with them, much to their horror. Hahaha At least my parents knew where to find me. I have 3 dogs now. I too believe animals have the ability to see spirits, or ghosts, or whatever is creeping about...as long as I don't 👻 Too scary for me. 😱 Loved today's conversation. Take care of you and know you're always in my thoughts and prayers. ❤🌻🦋
Hi Francine…I’m a cat person/rescuer and worked as a veterinary technician in my younger years 😄 so 40 years of cat experience…the chronic vomiting can be many things not all serious, a vet visit with a standard blood work up is great but also sometimes it can just be a diet change, I have 2 cats and they both require different diets. My boy Samson has to have a gluten free grain free diet he was vomiting a couple times a day, I did everything including an ultrasound nothing showed as abnormal…did the diet change and he completely stopped vomiting…so just a thought to mention to your vet!❤️🙏🏻🌸🦋
Hi Kathy, thanks so much for your insights. I wouldn't say it's chronic, just happened a few times. We decided to just keep him on kibble-only for a couple of days. So far, so good.
Looked forward to this post..been a multi cat person all my life. Sadly, any enjoyment of your content is negated by straining to hear you. It's only your channel, so know my hearing is holding up. Now towards the end it improved, so don't know what, if anything, you did. (Ann)
Thanks Michael. It's interesting that some people have no problem, but others do. I'm working on getting a mic that works with my software. I run linux on my computer which makes it complicated. Hopefully this will get corrected soon. Some people said ear buds helped a lot and there's also the transcript until I can get it fixed.
@@Beaver-With-A-Chainsaw , of course, I realize this. I am not criticizing her..I am simply expressing frustration that I cannot receive her message, and to let her know. There are surely tools or adjustments that can be made on her end. I've expressed myself , so will now shut up about it...much to everyone's relief, I'm sure.😁
So actually I'm more of a cat person than a dog person. We currently have 7 cats and one dog. They say cats are creatures of habit and mine have a routine. We have an older cat Apple that doesn't like two of the youngest cats for whatever reason. So she stays upstairs during the day and at nite I put the two kitties Ikko & Spots to sleep in our room. Apple comes downstairs and now has the run of the house. In the morning she goes back upstairs when the other two cats get up. Sometimes when a cat acts out it is because something has changed. You moved the furniture or put their litter box in a different spot. They can also can react to your mood. When I had to put a cat to sleep the other two cats stayed next to me in the bed all day. But sometimes they may develop a medical condition that causes them to act differently. When one of my cats developed Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) her personality started to change. So It doesn't hurt to check with your Vet other than maybe your pocketbook. Always glad to help MJ
Thanks for your insights. Gloria was fine after we washed her eye out (maybe something was in it). Gomez we're keeping an eye on and if vomiting persists we'll definitely get him to the vet.
Hello! The cats look's good. . I have the same type of cat and he sheds all his winter fur now. It's good to comb once a day, it also helps with the hairballs. Since he is throwing up a bit, it might be a good idea to treat for worms. It helped Leo, he was much better after a couple of days. If you must have a prescription for worm meds, you can certainly call the vet. They can probably arrange it for you over the phone. Looking forward to follow you catfriend 😊. Have a great day and your cats are soooo Cute Cute Cute and Pretty ❤
🌬🌻Every Kitty needs a treat 😊 So I love all Animals. I have had Cats and Dog's, Pigs, Bird's.but sence we no longer live in a House 😢Apart living is VERY limited. I have my Bella 🦮And as we get older with multiple medical problems besides Cancer She's enough for today. Let's talk Cat's I do believe in Spirits I have seen many in my life time. I also have Dreams that come true and many more different Spiritual experiences. In my humble opinion I believe Cats do see Spirit's as well as Dog's. But I think cats have more 😊 I have watched many different beliefs and almost every Witch has a Cat. Now when Ppl hear the word Witch they right away think bad Ppl. Evil Ppl. But I don't think they are all bad. There's good and evil in everything everybody. In my opinion. Cats are VERY independent. But just like Ppl they all have different personalities 😊 Have a Beautiful Blessed Day. I would love for you to talk more about Spirit 🌬💫
Thanks for your insights. Have you looked at my metaphysical playlist or the early videos before I was diagnosed? Definitely check those out. Oh, these cats get treats! They will tell other people they don't, lol. Enjoy Bella :)
Gomez probably has furballs and he's not feeling so good. My long haired boy does this every spring and summer. Cats are very hierarchical and so Gomez is probably just showing his authority.
