really changing my opinion of lg their supposed to be one of the best tv makers, and there phones keep getting better and better.
@adikcom it says its compatible with a stylus so yes stylus is like a little pen you can buy it at any phone accesory retailer...

Well for general use both phones offer some impressive usability functions. The Samsung Beat is a good niche market phone however reviews of the DJ app didn't go down so well.
The Pop's menu system is good as the touch screen is responsive & the Beat has a slight lag.
The Beat however has GPS and DivX support for high quality movie watching along with a OLED screen.
It will probaly come down to styling and if you wanted a phone with ....

It really depends on what you want from a mobile phone; if music is really important then perhaps the Nokia 5530 is a better phone for you as it works very similar to the 5800 which we think is a great phone.
If social media or keeping in touch with your facebook, twitter or myspace contacts is important, we would say look at the Pop as it offers a much easier way to keep in touch using the built in application.
The Samsung Tocco Lite is another ....
@Mimarsinan2s you can use the internet by going on browser. internet cost money if your on pay as you go.you can go on any website you want to

In our opinion yes it is much better than the GW520, it's more compact, much better design, better social networking integration with Facebook, MySpace annd Twitter via one simple application plus you have a much better UI/Menu system called A Class which is similar to the Chocolate BL40's S Class UI.
Perhaps the speed of messaging might be easier and better on the GW520 but everything else is much better on the Pop.

Yep, you just have to turn it on the horizontal side.
... great product from Samsung but lacks the ease of connecting with contact via social networking.
The Pop slightly excels the Tocco Lite in terms of functionality because of this otherwise they are really both on par with each other.
We have to admit in overall package the 5530 does look good because it has WiFi built in and the costs are around the same. The Nokia 5530 will win because you can also get apps for it as it's based on a smart phone operating system.

The finger swipes happened because we skipped the calibration setup and dived straight into the handset's functionality. I found the handset responded better after I calibrated it.

Have you considered the Nokia 5530 music phone? That's the same price and has WiFi and is considered a smart phone due to the Symbian OS which means you can download apps and perform a wide variety of functions.

I've finally decided to buy the LG GD510 Pop, so I got a few questions (Which I hope someone answers),
1. I know that this phone doesnt have Wi-Fi or 3G, so when and where will I be able to use the internet? 2. Does it cost money? and 3. Will I be able to browse on the internet just like on the Iphone or am only able to get on youtube and googlele etc?
can you use a stick or any object to use to touch the screen and not damage it ?

I just got this phone, and for the motion silence (where you can turn it over when a call in coming in) I cannot get it to work..I went to the setting and turned it on, but It doesnt seem to go mute when a call is coming in and I turn it over...help?

The internal memory is 42MB but you can expand the memory up to 16GB using a MicroSD HC card.

We are currently creating tutorials for the Pop and hope to have some ready for the weekend!
You can change the start up and shut down sounds by going into Profiles > Select your profile > Select the Startup sound field > select No Sounds.
You can stop the touch screen sounds and use just the haptics (vibration) or none by going in to the Touch Screen effects settings.

While we normally say it depends on what you want your phone to do, in this case the iPhone 3Gs beats that Pop because of its ability to download lots of apps, music capabilites, web browsing, in built GPS and much more.
The phones to be fair shouldn't really be compared as they are 2 completely different handsets.

i have this phone,batery life is 4 days with usual tasck,the camera is shit:),and you dont see who call you if you are in the sun!the phone is small,easy to use ..and have a good design and good price! ..but still is LG not NOKIA OR MOTOROLA my favorite phones!
