- Nearing the completion of our dockyard/harbour, in this episode I tackle all the small jobs that needed doing including adding car parks, a crane, a shipping yard, a new factory AND an automated basalt farm with minecraft create mod to finish off the lower docks!

If you’re doing a Prismarine farm in the future, could you please put it out in the middle of the ocean and make the exterior look like an Oil Rig?

Though, my brain is hot garbage (not saying that yours is, too - your eye for detail is *chef’s kiss* beautiful), so I guess doing it that way is just common sense: You build a farm in the ocean, you make it look like an Oil Rig. (When I say it like that, it really does sound like common sense, lol)
Build a big "titanic" size Cargo transport ship with loads of shipping crates on it. You can maybe use it later for storage or some kind of farm.
A titanic sized cargo ship would not be large for cargo ships

Beardy, you should have some cars improperly parked, aka they're at an angle compared to the parking lots.
Using a mechanical bearing or even creating the cars as trains, you can easily get that effect
I hope at some point you make an extension outside this industrial area with a bunch of buildings to represent where the workers would stay and stuff!
To make the basalt generator, dig a 2 deep hole, and place soul soil at the bottom. Then replace one block next to the hole with Blue Ice, and another with a lava source. As the lava flows into the air block above the soul soil, it instantly turns into basalt.

I know a quick build hack with framed blocks: for a coffee cup frame an empty franed flowerpot with a quartz block
An amazing series so far. An idea I’ve had is a Lighthouse near the dock. Is it possible to do so with a rotating light?
Maybe a totem farm disguised as a giant island prison would look cool in the distance from the docks

hey beardie, using commands for the curios api (you have to be in creative) you can have both a backpack and an Elytra!
the create mod jetpack compliments the elytra very nicely, working like fireworks while holding space, that means you can move at elytra fullspeed any time, you can also use the backpack normally if you dont press space while in the air to activate the elytra
what i did is i got into creative, i put in this command: add and thats how i moved around the world!

For the basalt farm, you can use normal soul sand and hoppers again if you'd like, the only requirement was the ice.

I think you do need to put an actual park somewhere in the dock area. A place where workers can sit, relax, and eat some food whenever they are on break or between shifts
There will be one, as well as a market, housing etc - just not on the dock, but off to the side

If you want to make things a bit swifter you can enable Bulk Pressing and Cutting in the Create options menu
The planks that go across and hold the rails, are called sleepers in the UK and cross ties in the US. They used to be made of creosoted wood, although on the mainline they used shaped concrete ones and heritage lines have started to use recycled plastic ones
Hello Mr Beardstone sir, I had the idea that you could park a nice big ship under your newest crane and have it lifting a heavy container off the boat. This could work as the pier doesnt extend that far back and it means you dont have two perfect replica cranes. It would also bring life and meaning to show they were being used. You could also add some rusty blocks into the cranes bases as if from sea spray since the brine would damage the metal IRL

19:11 if you have sophisticated storage as well as the backpack version you can make a magnet upgrade and a hopper upgrade for barrels/chests/shulkers it adds

use the Create: Interactive mod, using this mod, you can use the blocks on your Cranes (or trains ig...) such as the levers, while the Cranes (trains) are assembled.

Prismarine farm should be a HUGE, AND I MEAN HUGE oil rig. And maybe another farm on the oil rig also

You really should add a ship (for decorative purposes ofc) to go along with the deco crane and a ocean liner next to the dock where the 1st crane you built
If your very interested in the workers cars might i suggest having the cars go into a tunnel to switch out for another car/truck to take another space?
Make a cargo ship to transport good and make it line line with crane also the crane could have a shipping container on it
Your next town could be in the jungle and produce all the plantstuff and dyes you need, or expand the lumbertown ;)

You should ad a few random personal vehicles parked in the car parks for employees/ formans and whatnot
Maybe some boxy stuff like Jeeps, land rovers, FJ cruisers, or even sedans and coupes If you’re feeling confident in shaping rounder smoother cars.

surely the storage will eventually fill up so I think making a couple of actually useable car spaces for the trucks to sit in when all things are delivered and full (the ones that arent restocking things like lava to keep stuff going) would be kinda cool and a neat indicator
also u should making a cargo ship... like a big one that does nothing for now but has just absurd amounts of storage if you ever wanna cross that sea, it'd be cooler than just another train imo

In my opinion you shouldn't only build those "tiny" trucks but how about some proper trailers? Would be a good way to diversify your car parks and maybe use some for long hauling materials. You can also make only the truck part and leave the truckbed somewhere else.

Hey maybe you should look into something new with that create mod to add to the vehicle roster see about running monorail through ocean biomes to create ships would also enable that dockyard set of cranes to be able to be useful and big container ships move big amounts of fluids and material lol
You could build a big fence that separates the dark oak forest with the industrial area
i love it but need more ships in the yard maybe a big container ship to unload and load containers

build a airport for long distant travel and build it with phantom rails so you cant see the rails
Then you'll make it carry a ton of items
Them you could build another disease or oil rig offshore fornthe ship to also carry storage

Suggestion: Railway depot (For working on trains)
for the basalt farms drawers you can make something called a void upgrade that just voids any excess basalt in the system and can help with lag
Helps better with lag to just turn the farm off once the drawers are full :) (That's what the threshold switch and redston was for)
You could make a gas station for some trucks to stop at
It would be cool to have a bus stop/station sometime
You must have a beast of a PC because mine would implode plan to play with this even if it was on the server

You should double park one of the trucks
In the basalt farm, could you not just used soul sand and regular hoppers? You may not have needed the soul sand to generate it, but it shouldn't have interfered with the basalt generation.
I could once I realised I needed ice not water, yes - however the backpack is more lag friendly as it removes the need for hoppers which generate lag
Build a trailer truck with having a small car going into it
