I think just changing the settings back to always restart xfwm (the disabled ones near the beginning) should do it, and probably removing the i3 packages would be a final solution. But it's always nice to experiment with config settings like this while running live - MX linux has excellent ISO creation and live tools - then you could in theory even nuke your entire install but everything would be back to normal with a reboot
i3 did not agree with MX Linux 19... took me a while to realise that all the problems had were traced back to fact it was running in xfce, and when I just tried pure i3 worked fine... you can toggle which window manager to use from the log in, i would recommend just using that, less problem prone and you can configure widgets and apps you want to to run on startup through the i3 config file
Perfect setup if you are running Qubes and are an i3 user.
That's a really helpful video, just what I needed. It would have been nice to know how to reverse the changes, however.

purfect. i'm a i3 user. 'till now the only mod i make is to put the i3bar on the top. but i will try to setup this interesting modded xfce. thank you
How did you get the xfce widgets to display in i3 panel?
do you have a separate i3 config for that?

Muito bom!
very informative, but would be about 5 minutes shorter if you edited out your ums and uhs...they actually get a bit distracting too.
