My chinese husband made a full fish lunch which includes fishballs, fish head soup and a veggie stir fry. During the editing, I couldn't find the videos of the full fish head soup recipe which I actually found after I uploaded the video already. But it is very simple and you can guess it even by this video.

Hello everyone! You may realise that the fish head soup recipe here is not shown completely. It is because I misplaced the videos in my computer and found the fish head soup videos after I uploaded the finished video to youtube. But It was very simple - Oil and then green chilli , ginger, leeks and fish afterwards. tofu is also added towards the end.

I think one thing i envy lookin at your vlogs is husband cooking skill. Indian husband do cook but its mostly on emergency purpose or once in a blue moon situation. Lets not talk about cooking skills... its rare. You found a gem❤️
Odin is so good with the knife. I can never handle fish..... I'm terrible. But Ruchi your vlogs are really amazing and it's nice to see an entirely different culture on our phone. Thank you so much for the English subs! I haven’t visited my extended family in China since 2019 and miss them quite much. Unfortunately, the quarantine restrictions in China makes it impossible for me to travel over. The quarantine alone is enough to wipe out all my vacation days if not more. Your videos reminds me of and bring me comfort thinking of when I can visit them.
I am proud of him able to cook and do housework.
...Most Chinese men know how to cook because many families if not the most families in China are the men doing the cooking.

1. I am a Bengali but Odin has far better fish cutting skills than me. I am amazed.
2. The Chinese spinach is very common in west bengal and known as Kolmir shaak.
3. The slimy green is commonly called Pui shaak in Bengali and i have so many growing in my garden here in Delhi.
4. Behen, jab kabhi India aao, to thode se chives lete aana, mai airport pe tumse collect kr lungi😆😆😆
Fellow Bengali here just like you! Fish is my favorite but I can't cut it even if its already city nicely!! Pui shaak with maacher matha is awesome!
To get Chinese/Japanese or Korean foods stuffs come to North East India. ☺ We have same food habits with them. Chives you'll get here as well, along with soyabean paste, bamboo shoots etc etc

I once saw a dish where the chef carves a fish with the head and tail removed to look like a shell, then chops the rest of the fish into a meat sauce, makes meatballs, and puts it in the belly of the fish in. It looks a lot like a pearl in a shell. Perhaps today, Odin cooks a similar dish,just like the one described above.

That green leafy veggie is called PUI Shaak/ Shaag in Bengali . We Bengali Indians eat fish head too. So I find that the asian food habit is quite similar to Eastern Indian dishes.

8:46 this is malabar spinach in India. Widely found in estern and southern part of India.
I agree that any food made from scratch may not always taste better but will definitely be more healthier. However you need to have skills like Odin to cook more complex dishes.
I could but it is 4X harder to record it when I do it so I don't cook much on camera.

That spinach kind leaves are also available in India too . We have in our garden. We eat it too including it's stem . Also there are two kinds 1. big leaves with thick stem
2. Small leaves with thin stem
You can make pakora using this leaves too .it's tasty.

It's poi leaf in India we also use this leaf..in red chane curry and we make pakore also with this leaf.
