Hello Charlie…. What a beautiful trek to each of these lovely, fantastic views. OMGosh the clouds, valleys and the hike kinda looked scary there for a minute after your tea, but oh so beautiful. That flat stone you stood on was quite the view. I sure enjoyed everywhere you took us today… all 6 and biking as well. I am doing well with my knee surgery. Exercising and walking out doors in fresh air. For now, I’ll be patient and let you take me on a visual view with your wonderful videos. Thankyou and stay well. Cheers, Lilli
Hi Jason, Many thanks, really glad you enjoy viewing the uploads and use them as a resource for your own adventures. Hope you have many clear tops.... Cheers
It's big day that Charlie! I camped at Culra and had mist all the way round!☹️. It was good to see what I would have seen! Thanks for sharing. ATB Alistair 👍
Hi Alistair, Just a pity you didn't get a look around when you visited these tops as its a super location for stunning views. We tend to go for the big day on a stick on weather day just to make sure. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi RB, The settled weather gives the opportunity to tick off some bigger days and Ban Alder group is perfect for a long day option. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.

Hi Paul, You'll certainly enjoy this group as they are fine hills with super views. The four on the west aren't that bad once to get the initial height and you can make go time picking them off. Cheers, Charlie.
Done quite few Munro's but not done any for a couple of years due to the work. Retiring in the next year and will be doing plenty in my retirement. Your videos keep my incentive up and they are smashing
Hi edfast4741, Glad that you enjoy watching our trips and I bet you can't wait to getting over the work line. You'll at least have a bigger choice of weather window for getting out and not be hampered by the working week. Cheers, Charlie
Well done on doing 6 munros, great filming. Way too much for me and my hill buddies. Took us 3 hill days to do those hills. The cycle out is some what refreshing after the walk, except for the odd hill and deer. ( A friend just missed being wiped out on his MTB when a large red deer bolted across his bikes path).
Hi Rich, The cycle out is a good warm down although you probably don't notice it at the time...lol. With the trees getting cleared out along the road the hazards of the cycle should be greatly reduced. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
I remember doing these in a Victorian weekend expedition from Rannoch station to Dalwhinnie station. We enjoyed the same sunshine as you, but the 1000m tops were covered in soggy blinding white snow. Also we did not have the advantage of bikes waiting for us. Loch Ericht feels like it goes on forever.
If I was wearing a hat I'd take it off to you. I've done these 6 Munros twice now and took 5 trips with 5 nights camping to do them so I've no idea how you can get round them all in 12 hours. Brilliant, well done guys!
Hi Alan, The weather window was right to complete the group with plenty of opportunities breaks. It's always a joy getting back to the car knowing that the tops are behind you. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi David, I agree, that view takes some beating and the camera certainly doesn't do it justice. Many thanks for taking the time ti view. Cheers, Charlie.
Super footage Charlie. I worked on the estate a few years ago for about 9 months. In all that time I never got up BA. Want to head up the scramble route at some point in time. That's a long track in from Dalwhinnie eh! Take care. D&L
Hi D&L, Just finished watching your latest Cairngorm upload... very nice. The weather spell is a joy and a pleasant change not to have multiply layers. You'll enjoy BA when it comes and have the opportunity for a good warmup on the cycle in. Take care, Charlie.
What can I say Charlie, the Duracell brothers on top form, epic day with epic views. Think I’ll do them over 2 days as I’d like to go up the long leachas for a nice scramble as well. Hats off to you and Mike.👏👏
Hi Frank, You’ll enjoy this group once you get around to it. The ridges are a good scramble and fine access to BA. The midges are horrendous in this area so keep that in mind if your in the season. Cheers, Charlie
Another magnificent video Charlie. Ben Alder has one of the most expansive views in the Highlands. I spent a glorious day at the summit in Sept 1977; beats any Mediterranean beech. One anecdote was I was sleeping alone in Ben Alder Bothy, and during one night I was woken up by a party of people coming in. When I was fully awake no one was there.
Hi Malcolm, A walking friend had a similar experience in the same bothy in the 80's where footsteps were heard outside and a knock at the door, yet there was no one to be found. It still a great area to visit. Cheers, Charlie.
Hey Charlie truly outstanding to to all that in one day must have been good to get a run back out on the bike, i guess the breeze was keeping yourself and mike cool as it was a very hot week , fantastic views thanks again for sharing 🙂 all the best James,
Hi James, The temperatures were forecast for the low twenties but the breeze keep things well down when on the tops which was very welcome. A great day and having the cooldown on the bike on the way out helps minimise the stiffness once at home. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie
@@charliemccartney7055 Hey Charlie I had a great day out on the ben alder range on the 27th I did them clockwise, and got them all done in the one day what a fantastic group, extremely enjoyable,
All of your videos are outstanding quality but this - incredible! What a fantastic day you had and Mike perching proudly on every cairn in sight although that 'diving board' did look a little wobbly. I was planning to do these over two or three days (MUST get a bike) but now I see I might not need to carry the tent after all! The Bealach Dubh looked really dry for a change. Thanks for showing our beautiful country at its very best.

Hi Dave, It was a bright day but the strong breeze was a bonus and kept the temperature manageable. It's always a nice feeling to scored off the six tops on the superb grouping. Cheers, Charlie.
Great video of a wonderful area. Nice to see the autumn tints now appearing on the grasses and providing additional warmer colours to the summer blues and greens. Was out this morning on the hills above Loch Ness and the grasses and reeds provided a very colourful scene, probably more so that what you are seeing here. All the best, Ian
Hi Ian, The hills are looking well at the moment and the high pleateu was joy joy to walk over with the soft sponge grass. The blues and greens are fading, thankfully and the warm colours are a nice change. Take care, Charlie.

I have been subscribed to your channel and watching your videos for some months and now finally got around to creating an account, where I can add comments. Beinn Bheoil and Ben Alder I have done, from Dalwhinnie, but the other four are still to do. I am thinking of the approach from the Loch Laggan side, with an overnight camp. Have you done them from that side?
Hi Jonathan, I haven't come in from Loch Laggan but I suggest its a better option for you with the four still to do. Getting on the track for Lubvan ruin will get you into the back of Beinn a' Chlachair. Cheers, Charlie.
All due respect to you both, those are hard grafting to do 6 in one day with the cycle in and out to boot, even more so with one of you not feeling so great. Did you park by the underpass with the gate access at railway line now locked as I am heading down that way in next few weeks just to do the bike circuit with maybe a munro for good measure?
Hi kisilvan, Yes, we parked at the underpass as there is plenty of space without bothering anyone. It's only a short cycle to get to the normal track. Cheers, Charlie.
