He got fired because the fans/media pushed so hard, he was forced to switch to Fields and then it was "HIS" fault that Fields was bad and that he shouldn't have put him in the position of having to perform as an NFL QUARTERBACK. Pure stupidity. Andy Dalton was (and is) FAR better. Andy Dalton is FAR better than Caleb. Nick Foles is FAR better than Fields and Caleb. Tyson Bagent is FAR better than Fields and probably FAR better than Caleb. Nothing you or anyone else can say will disprove anything I've said, as I've only stated FACT. YOU are the fanboy. That's why you refuse to acknowledge I'm right. You probably can't even comprehend it.

@@elericrivera2010no way this Bears team has a losing season in 2024. They were a 7 win team last year and that’s with Justin Fields missing 4 games. The offense is now SIGNIFICANTLY improved. A whole new offensive coaching staff that came from Seattle and made Geno Smith look like a Pro Bowl QB.
This Bears team should AT LEAST win 9 games.

Well please don't put Stupid Pressure on first year QBs just because they were drafted number 1. Troy Aikman was 1/15 and in his second yr I don't believe they even made the playoffs after getting Irwin and Emmitt Smith. So patience is still the key.

To be fair, the question had to be asked due to history. When Trubisky was drafted he had to sit behind Mike Glennon, when Justin Fields was drafted he had to sit behind Andy Dalton. We had to be sure that there weren't going to be any shenanigans heading into this training camp.
@@punch1420 can you imagine? No - the fans and media never want the best quarterback starting. Tyson Bagent is better than Caleb Williams (and FAR better than Justin Fields). Fans are the WORST people (next to the media, maybe) to talk about who should be playing. Nagy was right, all along - but fans and the media got him fired because they're so damn stupid.

Fantasy wise you take Williams over Goff and Stafford every time. CW will have 5-10 rushing TDs.
If the line holds up Williams can develop. If he plays too much hero-ball he will be found out by the better NFL defenses. Losing is apart of an NFL players career. Im curious how Williams will react to losing a few times and will there be accountability

All I have to ssy is Caleb got the red carpet treatment off the bat!!!! We got two #1 receives potentially 3...A good replacement at center! That's a lot more than Justin Fields had!!! I think Kustin would've done great with these weapons. If Caleb is as good as everyone thinks. There is mo reason for the Bears not to be in the playoffs this year & win a game or two!!!! Caleb Williams has a great attitude in my opinion. Justin fields was a good leader but he was a little too serious and it seemed like he wasn’t willing to learn anything where as with Caleb it seems like he’s really trying
Its not just Caleb that us bears fans are excited about all the haters out there if you have any NFL intelligence then you will know that no other rookie QB has ever been drafted to a team that is in a better situation than this Andrew Luck is the only rookie QB that even comes close but the colts that year didnt have the player strength that the bears do right now

Lots of QBs have been drafted to situations as good or better than the Bears. There's a strong argument that the Vikings this year are even better.
As a Bears fan, I disagree with that, but it is a reasonable opinion.
But the Bears mgmt. still screwed up by giving Fields away to the Steelers. They should of held Fields as many starters in the NFL get hurt early in the season. They could of kept Fields and traded him for more capital later. They sacrificed the rest of the team to " do right for Justin". Big mistake.

And a couple of seasons before that you're drafted another one and he became a bust. But you need to go back and take a look at your first round draft pick college games and watching when he's behind by 10 points or more. outside of that first option he didn't know how to look for number two or number 3 or number four before he took off running. And to be honest with you they will destroy him in the NFL if he does that.
