- Kwasi Kwarteng is the author of 'Ghosts of Empire', a book about the global legacy of the British Empire, which was published last year. He was elected a Conservative Member of Parliament for Spelthorne in May 2010.
That was a powerful speech, the story lines of history from modern years, Britain among other places, wow it's excellent. Bless you Kwasi Kwarteng 👏
Excellent presentation. Well done Kwasi👏👏👏Impresive narratives.
Kwasi Kwarteng’s estimations are worrying bcos at the start of this lecture, he said Britain exported democracy then towards the end he said Britain did not introduce democracy during 147 years then wonders why.
Party politics under the disguise of democracy is to sow division in a country so Britain can continue to intervene bcos a divided people are weak.
Although China has already proven the above premise to the world, Britain is in denial so will have to face that consequence.
Somebody gets it!
Very bright guy
Bright in philosophy and history , definitely proven not fit to be a Chancellor of uk
@@p.a.ch.3861 the hate is real. If only you people judged Boris the same way for his numerous errors.
@@rossa23 Boris should have been sacked like kwasi
He sounds like Boris Johnson.
interesting you should say that bc he has broadly the same education - scholar at Eton, classics scholar at oxbridge and then we know the rest. V similar in many ways
@@alexwright3849 Interesting comment & 8 months on Kwarteng has proved to be just as useless as Johnson, both like telling Lies
🙂 he was born in London
You would be the prime minister in Britain one day in Jesus name. We need you so much
I’m sure that sentiment has changed
What good is all this information if he puts his career before his country he devalued the pound. While having champagne parties with hedge fund managers. Did he or his friend's make money while people's mortgages were raised significantly.
In regards to Hong Kong and China.. The Chinese mainland adopted a foriegn ( European) political system called communisn.... Hong-Kong itself where the British were established was very well managed and adopted British parliamentary democracy . In trade and commerce terms, Hong-Kong became one of the largest economies in the world. It was in fact, one of the British empire's successful entities.
Your criteria for good management is questionable bcos the business under management was drug dealing.
Whilst there, the Brits practiced dictatorship. Where democracy is defined as having a vote, the Chinese never chose the governor.
In order to effect divide and rule which had been rehearsed for a few centuries, parliamentary dem all crazy was foisted on HK.
How and why the Chinese accepted their drug addict relatives can have a system of ruse boggles my mind. But what can one do with the progeny of drug addicts and their pushers?
@10.31 like you as chancellor? 🤣
With Hong Kong it was difficult to bring in democracy as the place was on a lease and was always going to be passed back to undemocratic China at the end of the lease.
No! Hong Kong was NOT ALWAYS going to be passed back to Chinese Communist Dictatorship! Hong Kong Island and part of Kowloon Peninsula itself is are totally and permanently belongs to British Empire and government even the rest of Kowloon and New Territories were on lease to Britain.
It was the cowardice and greed of then British government for Chinese blood money that the British government surrendered the British Hong Kong to the damned Chinese tyrants!
China does have democracy, it's just not a two party system. People elect local leaders, local leaders will elect province leaders etc....
This is what Ghana needs democracy with choosing leaders
From all ten Region instead of two
Parties system
A big mistake by Robertson then in the way he unified Sudan against different cultures. The suffering that has brought is out of this world.
He sounds like Boris
