    Hi mate. I'm looking into getting this tray. Now that you have had it for a while. I was wondering how it's holding up and have you had any problems with it. Cheers

    Hi Willie.
    I am looking at doing up my old 1st generation Mazda BT50 dual cab ute, 2007 series. I am considering replacing the tub with a flat tray and a gull wing double door canopy. A 1200 mm length canopy should suit our requirements. I was impressed by your video and the Workmate tray. It has been nearly a year now since you uploaded this video. How has the tray performed? Any issues regarding cracked welds, the quality of the lights provided fixing bolts etc? How deep is the under tray drawer provided with the tray? The web sight gives the length and width but not the depth of the drawer. How is the TC Canopy going? Thanks guido

      Hey mate, thanks for the kind words. The tray is going really well, no issues with it whatsoever. No cracks or issues withs lights.
      Tray is about 130mm deep(internally)

    Hello mate, nice tray. I have an XLS also and looking to DIY a tray. Just wondering if/how you relocated the reverse camera/sensors? Cheers.

    • @4weeksleave
      @4weeksleave  2 года назад +1

      Thanks mate! I took the factory camera out of the Ford emblem, 3D printed a little holder for the camera and fitted that to a bracket positioning the camera to see out the back and the tow ball. I have not yet relocated the sensors..... I am still trying to come up with a good idea to mount them. I dont just want to stick them in to an angle on the bottom or the tray (Dont think it looks great and worried it will get caught up driving out of some steep stuff) Thinking to mount the in the square tubing of the tray below the lights and drawer. Hope that helps....

    Hey mate looking at the same tray did it come assembled or did it come as a flat pack cheers.

    • @4weeksleave
      @4weeksleave  2 года назад +1

      Hey mate, there is not much to it. The 2 frames to bolt to your chassis, the tray itself and the drop sides. So flat packed if you like but the drop side just slide on and you need the frame separate to fit to the chassis. Hope that helps!

    Hey legend,
    I’ve just done my tray in Perth on my own..
    What did you do with the fuel flap central locking loom and the roll bar light loom?
    Since removing the tub my battery keeps going flat 😂

    • @4weeksleave
      @4weeksleave  2 года назад +2

      Great done DIYing it yourself as well mate. That's very strange..... I just left mine unplugged, didnt do anything specific to it.
      I was concerned about all the wire looms 'exposed' a bit more that the tub was hiding before, but I have had no issues with it yet 12 months on.
      Did you do any other work on the car...? Tail lights and indicators ok???

      @@4weeksleave cheers mate! It was good fun, got the tray from MW in O’Connor. Decent tray in my opinion, was able to install the sensors on strut end caps which was handy, and they threw in a reverse camera housing for me.
      I used the basic lights they gave me, which are working fine for now :)
