Hello Eli ,I love your craftsmanship sir . may I ask you something please I started making copper and silver jewellery as a hobby a few months ago , mostly from wire now I want to learn how to solder , do you use tin or silver to solder copper ? and what flux are you using ? do you maybe have any other tips for me ?
Dear Robby Thank you for your kind words. I use silver solder for soldering the copper, and normal flux which is used for gold and silver, sometimes I use liquid flux that is the same, and it's easier to control. You can use a thin wire of brass as the solder too, it keeps its color after soldering. But you need a higher temperature to melt it.
thx for helping me out Ebi now it is time for me to try and master it when i'm satisfied with the progress i make and want to learn other things such as prong setting etc.. can i ask you for more tips ?
Máš veľmi peknú zlatnícku prácu (aj keď to nie je zlato, ale meď). Milujem meď (...a striebro). Prosím Ťa, aký materiál používaš na spájkovanie? Cín (Sn)?
