Started 2 weeks ago. Almost 950 stars now. Always used races controls on PS5 because easier for starters they said bit definetly gonna learn trickster controls now. Thanks for the great video.
I think the game is embarrassing and highly unrealistic. Quadruple backflip too triple bar spin then tabletop the rest of the 1000m fall and land into a tree an don't fall off. Great game. NOT. 💩
@@TheWhiteTarzanS100 its a game so dont have to be realistic and its not intend to be. Its a videogame where people have fun and like to play. I rather fly sky high doing awesome moves and land than go in the air to do 1 or 2 moves and hope i land normal.

When i switched to trickster i went from being last in every tricks event in standard difficulty to winning by 100k+ points on elite difficulty. Helped me so much so thx to trickster mode

It really is soooo much more intuitive, and honestly nicer for races too because you don't have to worry about accidentally doing a trick right after you get air!
I was sold before on wanting my camera control with racer mode, but honestly glad not to have to focus on it, and have a more natural sense of what my controls will do!
Personally I like the steep controls because they are great for earning points though I dont know how to stop my bike using it
u have to pull ur right joystick backward
In fact I think the steep controls are more confusing, but i personally think that steep landing mode is better, idk
Jumping on trick mode is a nightmare
It's so unbelievably stupid having to keep switching up stances and controls all the time tbh, I want free camera for EVERYTHING, it would make doing tricks so much better if I could move the camera a little bit, can't stand the camera being locked behind the player being forced to play like that
Although you cant move your camera it's still nice to have simple controls that feel like skate 3

I personally exclusively use racer controls, I've switched to trickster here and there to try it but I'm not a fan, I don't feel like either gives you more control then the other I think its just more preference/comfort, i have a few clips in your videos if that gives you an idea of control with racer set up

I played with trickster for the whole career i personally love it havent even really tried out racer controls

I've only used Rider and found for Bike Tricks to Start with A/Y then B/X for Easier SpinFlip landing and for Snow the opposite B/X then A/Y the other Varials work but take more practice if you SpinFlip too much or too little you'll just land on your head. You can stop holding rotation button then hold it again to try and NOT land on your head. I guess it just comes down to PREFERENCE & PRACTICE.
playing exclusively on racer despite mostly playing bike / snowboard tricks. Once you get the hang I have the feeling its supernice can still land massive scores on corks/twists and land them perfect that takes practise though and might be easier on trickster
The controls in racer mode say X > triangle on PS5 for a front flip for example. But I can just press triangle and triangle with the same results. It seems like every button is a jump button. Can someone explain?
When I tried the Demo of this game and was asked to choose between racer and trickster I went trickster and didn’t even bother to check the other one for how good I felt using it.
Guess it’s a habit thing like everything else in gaming
I don't exactly like how people switch randomly from skis to bikes etc, its kinda diminishes the actual trick, and you can jump off the highest point in the game and switch, and It won't do anything

I just overall dislike the mechanics of the game, that included. When they announced the game I imagined a realistic mountain biking game with tons of terrain, but look at this arcade crap
@Inexpressable you can still play it realistically if you like or you can use the physics and do outrageous stunts, both options are still fun it’s a video game

I use racer. Coming from playing MX vs ATV and Monster Energy Supercross, my mind instantly thinks moving the right stick will move the character and I constantly screw myself up in trickster mode.

Personally, I've always been used to moving the camera manually, so even after a month of using trickster, my finger would still use the right joystick as if I was controlling the camera.
Racer always an option saved me personally

That’s not much if u have the right finger control it as able to pull 1000m wheelie down a hill on steep controls
In my experience i feel both modes like the same thing, when i change to trickster i dont realy feel that more control that some people say

i use racer mode to do my tricks and im doing pretty well.. my fingers get so tired on trickster mode and my brain cannot comprehend the jumps but i guess thats just me

Modified racer controls to my personal liking. For those who cant adapt to the given settings. Trial and error and u’ll get there. Deadzone etc to perfect it.
What do you have your deadzone set at?

You can get it with the year pass, but if you dont want to get the year pass it is also available to buy for like 1000 credits or something. The currency you have to buy. Nvm...
I prefer the tricks for the tricks and it goes much more fluid for me

i say trickster because it is way easier especially for trick events because when I first started I used racer and I couldn't do snow trick events for the life of me

You can control camera in trickster as well just go settings (controller) and then change the camera control to buttons in playstation idk xbox i thinks it's just the same

Trickster - Tricks are controlled with the joysticks
Racer - Tricks are controlled with buttons (eg. A, B, X, Y on Xbox)
Personally I don't use trickster or racer there js another kind but I think it's called steep or something

Trickster for me is more comfortable and smoother and easier to do tricks with.
That's disorienting. And it makes me queasy, lol. Let's make a pact not to ever do this to each other again.

The game just looks way to arcadey not sure if that’s what the game is suppose to feel like
its actually really fun. you can do the huge goofy tricks for high score, but it's actually more fun and challenging to put together realistic combos and runs. stalling rotations, timing whips/barspins etc to make things look really smooth and sexy is super satisfying
my current favorite is truck + downwhip -> late oppo barspin
Had my eye on this game when it released, but held off because of other priorities.
Glad I made that decision, the physics look horrible here...

They look pretty bad here because he has elite gear, allowing him more mobility and air rotation. Extremely hard to get btw😪 but a good game nonetheless

Trickster is better
Nah trickster on manual all the way. Honestly if you memorize all your tricks you can practice to learn how to max out your points and rotations and just learn how to use your sticks to go back into place before hitting the ground to get a good landing spot u don't ragdoll to your death
