So, I know this has been up for a while, but I'll pass off my favorite use for the Flechette Launcher: They are great to clear out pirates and scavengers when you are doing base power-up / restart missions. Pair this with a missile rack and you can clear most bases in a minute. Makes doing the base restart missions a lot easier. Where the on-foot soldiers can hide from exploding missiles, flechettes are a better 'area of effect' weapon. It clears out the little areas where the NPCs like to hide.
I love mine. Ive barely engeneered my shields and drives and my boost is over 500ms, ive been running vent beams and shock cannons on it. Its a great spec ops ship
I love mine too. With the kit from the shop, and in black, that space banana looks absolutely badass. To me, maybe the most cool looking ship in the game. (The vulture with the kit and the black cross fire paint is amazing too).
This is a strange weapon to be sure. Paired they are amazing against Prism Cutters(having a reberb torpedo paired with these is disgusting ), the icon ( ) that pops up is hull breach and essentially doubles module damage and is the only other weapon besides dumbfires that have a 100% chance to cause this debuff. I've thrown them into my AX cutter to put this debuff on thargoid interceptors and absolutely wrecks exposed hearts. e.i. 2 of these aren't enough to do module dmg to a CMDR if they run module reinforcements at that point they need to be pair with a railgun or missiles.
Had me confused at first because his shields didnt go off . Could it be good as a pvp weapon ? I liked how it took out the modules . This is one of the worst things Ive experienced in any combat situation. when the ship starts malfunctioning , there is not alot you can do but escape while you can . I might try this one
Your right about the assault ships but gunships are even worse about being miners. I have got myself in trouble more than once buy shooting a gunship before the scans done
I've seen another CMDR use flechette launchers in a courier to great effect. They do target individual modules, so maybe it just takes a ton of practice
Would not surprise me. All I'm aware that it does is give you a more specific lead indicator. It definitely has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game.
Can you do some tests on the enzyme missile rack? There's a lot of misinformation regarding it and I would like to know what is true. In description the weapon explains that it applies caustic burn, but someone mentioned that it also applies a corrosive like debuff that weakens haul similar to the corrosive shell additional effect. There's also a bit of misinformation regarding it's damage stacking potential. Some say one enzyme rack is all you need while others say the damage stacks if you have multiple racks. For about a minute the enzyme should deal 90 damage points to any ship without caustic resistance working as somewhat of a pseudo absolute damage type. There's a lot of confusion with this weapon and because of it a lot of players dodge the enzyme racks outright.
If you add a corrosive multi in mix and are good on dumb fire missiles its a good surprise to hull tanks if you don't mind synthesis of its premium ammo. Only takes 2 or 3 connects with the warhead to achieve a good saturation of the corrosive effect. No where as strong as a goid but the premium is about 2/4 as strong.
This thing is great but it's better when paired with another gimballed weapon, but it's hard to keep remembering to remember which key to hold down lol
I have those things unlocked! Might have to go back and mess with it. Cool video however you did a disservice to the Audience by not sub targeting modules from time to time for the purpose of showing the internal and external modules progression of damage! I think most people wanted to see that.

Why have I just now realized how beautiful that courrier is, reminds me a bit of an f104 star fighter epically with the fighter cockpit

Shame you didn’t show the state of his modules from time to time

This CMDR decided to wake up and write up a masters thesis.
IT WORKS ON THARGOIDS??????

It's a good pirate weapon but it requires a lot of skill just like other unpopular weapons.
I had some in stock, so went for a build with a courier. Played with them before. They sure require some training.

@@DryHeatAndSand CMDR Na'Qan here on RUclips is the flechette man
Does the AX version work on human ships? It has a dps of 34 I think and those are 14 or 15?

I'll add it to the list.

That's a good weapon for Liberation Missions or Any kind of Piracy. Thanks man.
Thanks mate gonna try that out tonight :)
I think i get the vibe now... they're basically SHIP GRENADES!
and personally, i love me some grenades!
Is the Fer de lance a good ship for this weapon?
Not sure, I have not tested it on that platform.
what about infantry shields?
That I personally don't know. I would imagine that they do.

Will try and remember this if I make another video about flechettes.
I too was waiting to see the subs health , especially after the drives where out. Good vid anyway. o7
And this is only 2 of them) I wonder if put 4-5?)
Type 10 time!
@@Ryutai7 LOL ! 7 packhounds , 2 enforcer cannons for a type 10
That ammo is pretty shit though.... Regardless, seems like a fun build.
Vamp...? Vamp is that you?
thats funny.
7 of them on a type 10... I doubt even with dirty drives aiming would be viable
Hahahaha it's like going in a fight with knights mounting a cow while shooting a crossbow
@@Kanitoxx 7 knights on a steady cow. I gotta defend my big booty girl. lol 07
Point difference take them out...
