Who ever directed the video dose a great job in telling a story without needing dialogue, absolutely great work with the song and the visuals. Hozier your vocals are absolutely marvelous.

The brother who's in the water , is the one that comes out frustrated. Perhaps because he thought that his brother wouldn't understand him, or because he wanted to keep it secret (?)
Hozier is like the mysterious person that leaves trails of magic dust in his path. He leaves enchanting and sacred spaces in all of his performances.
