Interesting, there are more than one way of teaching this ! my teacher told me that a minor traid with the flat 5 was a diminished triad which is the same ! i started learning piano 35 years ago , today i'm a classical trained pianist who also likes rock and pop music ! you are a great musician !
Hi, I'm loving you're ROCK piano lessons! Can you please give us a practice routine to practice the 1-4-5 BLUES progression TRIADS ,in all 12 Keys ? Sometimes I get confused/stuck by a 1-4-5 Blues in e.g: Ab ,or Db ,or a key I'm not playing regularly, in the middle of a Jam session. I understand the intervals of the 1-4-5 chords & can eventually find inversions (given enough time) that will work, but not before the Jam is over!! Looking for a strategy to practice the 1-4-5 ,all keys(I'm a guitar player that plays some keyboard) Thanks for any help/advice you have.
Hey thank you!! I’m glad you like it!!! It’s a great idea I’ll think about it! But i suggest that you pick a key for one week and practice a blues groove in that key. And the next week you transpose the same groove into a new key! The secret is to transpose the chord progression in all 12 keys :) you can even use some backing track on yt !

Nice lesson on basic triad theory. To be complete you should include sus2 and sus4 chords.
First like is mine 😀
