May I suggest relabeling your mistakes as 'Unexpected Results', you are learning after all. It is only in these unexpected results that we learn something we didn't already know. Failure is therefore that which teaches us the most. Lastly your self worth is not dependent on your successes in anything you do, you have worth because you exist and are who you are. Love the end result in this vest and your sisters love for you in filming it.
Fabulous! I'm pretty new to weaving and the thought of cutting into my fabric is super intimidating! Plus I hate the idea of scrapping bits of the beautiful woven fabric. You've almost given me the courage to try it. ha! A few more videos should do it, I think. :D
Loved the new video style! Also the clip tying rod thing? Never seen it before but by god do I want one now! The vest and the weave turned out gorgeous. Very much looking forward to more of these, I recently got into weaving because I want to make things I can wear not just blankets so I really do appreciate these videos
Thank you SO much, that means so much to me 🥰 The clipping rod is a wonderful tool, it makes life easier for sure. Definitely give clothing-making a try, it's scary at first but there's nothing more satisfying than wearing your own handwoven clothes 😃
Thank you so much for the video. I have been wanting to sew something from fabric I weave but am paralyzed thinking of perfect design and weave structure. You gave me the courage to just go for it. Thank you again.
@@AndreaAlexander I am in my 70's now and you have inspired me for my next weave to just have fun with it and not be afraid to be more spontaneous. thanks
I'm definitely a beginner sewer, and this pattern was a teeny bit challenging but it was mostly my own fault because I mixed up some of the steps. I'd also recommend SAORI-brand sewing books, they're amazing for handwoven fabrics! And thank you so much!! 🥰
@@AndreaAlexander thank you. I have a basic sewing machine i used 30 years ago to make simple curtains. And hem things. Will have to stretch my skills. Thanks I have a pile of handwoven waiting to become something. Love your videos! Thanks
@@ellenblack5376 Definitely check out the Saori "Beginner's Clothing Design" book! It's mostly very simple boxy garments with minimal fabric cutting, and the beginning of the book gives a great introduction to how to cut and sew with handwoven fabrics. It's a good starting point! I hope you have fun!! 🥰
You call it Random and compulsive ... l call it Creative and unique. Great video ❤ as you later describe.oh love your assistant ... l have a similar one.
Thank you so much!! I have the WX60 at home in Manhattan, which I love because it folds up and is perfect for tiny living situations. My mom has the CH60, which is the one I'm using in the video, which is nearly the same but doesn't fold up and always stays out and about! So, for me, it was a space-saving decision. I hope that's helpful!
@@deejcarter2003 In my opinion, in terms of the actual weaving experience on each loom, the differences between each model are pretty minor. So it really just depends on personal preference! If you have the option to visit a Saori studio nearby you, I'd go give them each a try and see which one feels better. Feel free to reach out to Suzanne, the owner of Wabi Sabi Weaving in San Diego (suzanne@wabisabiweaving.com) for more specific product questions - She knows a LOT more than I do! 😅
Thank you! 😃 I found out about the group via SAORI Worcester’s Instagram page! We connect via zoom once a month and share photos of our pieces and it’s been a lot of fun so far!
Thank you so much for watching!! What do you think of the new video style? 💜
I love it! I like the more intimate look into your weaving process!
it's a 10!!!

This cloth looks amazing 🥰 I was wondering what helped you decide to get the ch60 loom instead of the wx60?

fun video! How did you connect with your saori study group?

What will be the cost of this type of Loom
I'm always impressed with the saori loom and how easy it is to dress. But not as impressive as yours vest.
Odlično, još da doda moravske motive i šare!
Hvala!! And yes!!! 😃💕
What kind of loom are you using???
This is my mom’s SAORI CH60! Two harnesses 🤗 I’m back to using my SAORI WX60 which is basically identical, except it folds up!
Your so funny ⭐️
Sue vídeos muito bons interessantes

Your sister is a scream. She makes noise and faces whenever she’s in your videos. Are all little sisters like that? Mine is.
Beautiful vest.
