- If you are a new hockey fan, knowing the teams playing is an important piece of the puzzle. So in this episode of NHL 101 we will be introducing 8 of the leagues 32 teams, specifically the Pacific Division. To be clear this is the Pacific division as it will be starting in the 2021-22 season. So if you are watching this during the 2021 shortened season, things will look a little different as far as how the divisions are set up. Anaheim Ducks, LA Kings, San Jose Sharks, Las Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and yes the Seattle Kraken. You will get a quick intro to each!
As always with these if you have any questions please feel free to leave them in the comments section and I will get to them as soon as I can!

This is EXACTLY the kind of vid I was looking for for like a month idk why it didn't pop up till now
Well I'm glad you found it!
Finding your videos very helpful for hockey beginner fans like me!
Thanks for the effort you put in this series 🤩
That's what they were meant for. Glad they're helping and welcome to an amazing sport!
We need more videos like this
Very good video! I see your over the 500 SUBs now! Congrats
7:58 and now they’re Cup champions. Absolutely crazy
It's been an interesting few years for Vegas, not always good, but it seems to have worked.
Vancouver has a "sea island" with an airport on it. Also great video!
Thanks for the video. Been getting into NHL lately and I have a soft spot for the Oilers due to their jerseys, city and history of great players. 🧡💙
They are a fun team to watch if you like offense. Not great if you like goaltending.
Im an LA sports guy starting to get into the Kings and your videos are super helpful man.
hopefully the nba brings a team back to your city, i wanna see sum videos with a sonics jersey on your chest ;)
Seem a good year for LA sports wise all things considered. Glad you hear you find them helpful!
I hope to see the Sonics back too, tho admittedly of the 4 sports it's my least favorite. I still like basketball so I'd do some stuff on them tho.
I've been wanting an old Gary Payton jersey for a while but they can be hard to find.
@@CheapSeatsSports basketball is so amazing pls do vids on them
As a canucks fan cant wait for the canucks kraken rivalry
Me too! As a life long Seattle sports fan it'll be fun to have a pro team rival so close... that isn't soccer.
@@CheapSeatsSports playoff series between the two would be nuts!
Let’s go Kraken!!!!!!!!!
very informative, more footage plz
Will do!
"Release the Kraken" is a Clash Of The Titans reference, thankyouverymuch. Don't you sleep on Liam Neeson like that.
Haha yes, but I don't think that was disney so it didn't work as well for the transition to Anaheim. Liam has a very specific set of skills, skills that I would not dare ignore.
Thanks for your vids!
Glad you're enjoying them!
Hi, I'm back here haha. Do you happen to have a video explaining why Canadian teams play in the NHL? Isn't the NHL American? Isn't there a Canadian League? I would assume the Canadian league would be stronger since Hockey really seems to be a national sport there. So I was wondering why Canadian teams play with US Teams in the US league and not in the Canadian league. Just wondering.
Hockey is a Canadian sport, not just in that they love but actually created it and that is where professional hockey started. I have a videos on the history of hockey, but basically the NHL started mostly as a Canadian league that had a couple US teams to have more teams and try to spread the sport into the states. The reason there are only 7 Canadian teams now and 25 US teams is just population based. There aren't enough big cities in Canada. Also really the only sport that is split at the boarder is Football, which to me is the weird one, but the CFL kinda makes the NFL going to Canada more pain than it's worth to the NFL, at least for now.
So what you saying is I made a mistake choosing to be a sharks fan
There are more painful teams to be a fan of, but there are also definitely better teams too haha
Edit: upside is the Sharks have always had great jerseys
Watching VGK now…this didn’t age well lmao
*VGK/Seattle. Kidding though, thanks for these man
Can't win 'em all I guess lol.
The Kraken is a Stadium 🏟 in Mazatlan Mexico where Mazatlan F.C. plays bruh lol
Never heard of it, but here it's a hockey team.
